Was that your Mom that I met in WDW last Saturday?

December 1st - in the early evening - in one of the gift shops on Main Street. She was in an ECV (as was my sister) and we struck up a conversation about the difficulties associated with using these scooters and the reactions and nastiness of some people..

She mentioned she was there with her DD who has a son with Aspberger's (sp?) and another son who is possibly autistic.. She also mentioned that you post on the DIS, but couldn't remember what name you use here..

If that was your Mom, she was a very, very nice lady!!

That was my mom!! She told me that she met someone who posted on the DIS. I was wondering if I would ever find out who!

My mom, Beverly, was in an ECV and she kept getting upset at the way people were acting towards her!

She enjoyed talking to you all.

She made it back to the room with her dying battery...barely but she did!

This was our first trip with her in an ECV the whole time and with my oldest son having his Asperger's diagnosis. We used a GAC for him and it made the trip 1000 times better than it was the last time before the dx.

I got a lot of good ideas from this board and they helped us during the trip!

I'm glad my mom got to meet some other DISers!!

I was dying to see if I would ever find out whose Mom that was!
She's such a nice lady - friendly, cheerful, determined not to let anything get her down..

I didn't know her battery was almost dead! So glad she made it back to the hotel okay..

It's a shame that you weren't there too so we could have met..

So glad to hear your trip went well.. Tell your Mom that my sis and I said, "Hello" - and we wish you all a very happy holiday!! ...
