Was Disney thinking about starting their own chain of children's hospitals?

I remember reading that Disney had been thinking of other projects to focus on during the 90's and one of the biggest dreams they had was to start their own children's hospital chain but somehow it failed and I wonder why this idea failed? From what I read the Disney Children's Hospital chain was gonna be huge and a competitor to Shriners Hospitals and St. Jude Research Hospital and was gonna feature Disney themed hospital rooms and Disney characters were gonna visit sick children from time to time while they recovered from long illnesses in the hospital. I was surprised when I read about this and the idea sounded like an amazing thing for Disney to do and if it hadn't failed Disney could've been successful with these hospitals

Not sure what the definition of "failed" is. I don't think they even seriously tried to do this.

I thought I remembered it one time that Disney was talking about teaming up with Shriners children's hospitals kind of like the OP posted they were thinking of for their own hospitals. That would certainly make more sense and probably would've been very nice for the children.
