When Disney ended Goof Troop and announced the release of A Goofy Movie I often wondered if Disney was planning to make a series of Goofy movies for a new generation of Goofy fans. Because after the release of A Goofy Movie they released An Extremely Goofy Movie? And it makes me think that these two movies were the continuation of Goof Troop. I remember seeing A Goofy Movie during movie day at school and my teacher and I thought it was funny and An Extremely Goofy Movie is also funny too. Was this simply to give the character Max more popularity after he was introduced on Goof Troop?

I don't know if they planned a series, however A Goofy Movie IS a continuation of Goof Troop, though it skips a couple of years so Max is now a teenager. The sequel was one of the direct-to-video sequels, though A Goofy Movie was made by that same division. I know they get a lot of flack for those sequels, but they did still manage to make the greatest movie ever made, A Goofy Movie!

Doesn't A Goofy Movie have the character Powerline who was voiced and sung by Tevin Campbell? Because I remember at the time A Goofy Movie was huge Tevin Campbell was a big superstar with his second album I'm Ready. So having Tevin Campbell voice Powerline was so cool and a fun role for him

Yes, A Goofy Movie is the one with Powerline. And as BrianL shared, it debuted after Goof Troop.
