Was Disney gonna do a series of movies by teaming up with the Chinese movie company Centro?

I saw a movie on Disney+ called Disney's The Secret Of The Magic Gourd and it features the voice of High School Musical's Corbin Bleu as Bailey the magic gourd. I found out that The Secret Of The Magic Gourd is based on a book of the same name and was produced by Disney and a Chinese film company called Centro. The Secret Of The Magic Gourd was supposed to be the first in a series of movies that Disney and Centro were teaming up and releasing to DVD but it seems that The Secret Of The Magic Gourd was the only movie released in the series so far. I think this would have been a great movie series had it not failed. But I remember The Secret Of The Magic Gourd because I had a big crush on Corbin Bleu at the time and he was wonderful as Bailey's voice and it too is a magical movie worth checking out. Why did this series of movies fail for Disney?
