Was anything ever built where the Disney Welcome Center in Ocala use to be?

I happened to find this thread, http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=1432855 asking about the Disney Welcome Center in Ocala, Florida which use to be off exit 350 on Interstate 75. Anyway it got me thinking and I was wondering was anything built where the Welcome Center use to be?

Sigh. I miss the Ocala Welcome Center. It was a nice clean place to stop, and get WDW info before arriving. And when they used to have the room discounts, they were sometimes quite large.

To date, I have not heard of anything being built there either. It was kind of tucked back out of the way, but still, that seems like prime property right off the exit and all.

I remember the when the state of Florida had their no tax week my family and I would purchase items like shirts there if I saw some I liked, because we saved money by not purchasing the same items in WDW. Since the Welcome Center was not located on WDW property that is why the no tax rule was good there.

If no one has an answer to my question I guess when my family and I drive to WDW this summer I might be able to see what there from Interstate 75, without having to physically drive to the location of where they use to be.

It was not a standalone building. It was a portion of a larger office/retail complex. I have no doubt that some other company has leased that spot by now.

When we drove by there last fall, somebody (I have no idea who) had their offices in the former Disney Welcome Center building. It still looked basically the same.

Now, the only other structure I can recall in the immediate vicinity was a motel wing, and I don't think the Disney building was attached to it or anything else. There were no other businesses (retail of offices) there, at least not visible from the Disney Center's entrance. Burger King was just up the street, I think, and that would be about the closest thing.

I thought it had been bulldozed down and a new hotel was being built there. Not positive though, since I passed by at 80mph. Surely there are some Ocala people on here that can answer.
