Was Anyone There Nov. 27 - Dec. 2nd?

I'm going for my birthday in November and I'm looking at those dates. I was thinking about splurging and renting a convertible but I'm wondering if it will be worth it if it's going to be cold. What was the weather like at this time in 2005 if anyone was there?

The weather can be iffy in late Nov./early Dec. It can be chilly in the mornings and evenings. It can be 50 one day and 80 the next. If you want to drive with that top down all week, you might be better off waiting until the weather is warmer.

We were there 11/28-12/11 in 2005. First week was gorgeous! No rain...temps in the 70's/80s dropping to 50's at night. 2nd week had a lot of rain for 3 days and cooler...50's even during the day. Fortunately that was during dh's conference so it didn't affect us much...no park touring. End of the vaca was once again 80s and 60's at night. But the other poster is right...you can get anything in Dec...including 30's!!

We were there then. In 2005, it was beautiful. We wore shorts every day. I took a sweatshirt with me in the evening but never needed it. In 2004, we were there the first week of December and wore long slacks and t-shirts with a sweatshirt jacket over it most of the time. One day it was so cold I got out my winter jacket and gloves that I wore down from Ohio.

If you do rent a convertible and plan on declining the insurance from the rental company, be sure to check your credit card agreement. Many of them do not cover convertibles.
