So I was accepted back at the beginning of October for my 3rd CP in Attractions. I declined because I did Attractions my last 2 CPs and was hoping for a different role. I'm semi-regretting my decision to reject.
I was going to go to the Pittsburgh CP audition but I did not because I couldn't skip class and I had rejected my CP invite as I already stated.

I'm pretty sure you can't email them and ask about participating if you rejected the invite, am I correct (I should know the answer to this)?

I'm just curious because I am graduating this semester and this is the last chance I'll probably have to do a CP (although there is the summer CP but that's in the summer...).

Another question, if I did do the summer CP would I be able to extend into the fall or not because I'll no longer be a student?

Thanks for your help!

I would email them. Those are some pretty hard hitting questions and I think it would have to be a case by case decision. Good luck!

I'm pretty sure that you won't be able to reconsider. They probably have already offered your role to another person.

It wouldn't hurt (likely) to contact WDP&R College Recruiting, but I'm fairly sure that's the answer they would give you.

As to the Summer CP, I am fairly sure you would be permitted to extend, despite not being enrolled in school - if I remember correctly, Alumni Program Participants were allowed to extend this past summer. Walt Disney World Co. policies limiting continious employment in Student Programs to one year would of course apply.

As a Graduating Campus Rep, you may be interested in pursuing other employment opportunities with the company.

If you would like to be considered for open Full Time, Casual Regular or Casual Temporary Hourly Host/Hostess positions, please contact Internal Casting on (407) 828-1000

If you would like to pursue Administrative, Office & Technical or Salaried positions with the Walt Disney World Resort, or with other segments and areas within The Walt Disney Company and Affiliated Companies, you can view openings through JOBS Online, the company's internal job board available on The Hub.

Well once you decline that's usually final. There's no harm in asking but don't get your hopes up.

Try for the summer alumni cp or you could try and switch from rep to seasonal...? :confused3

I can't go full-time/part-time since I can't afford to move down to FL at the present time. At least with the CP I could afford housing, but I figured once I declined that was it for that.

Try for the summer alumni cp or you could try and switch from rep to seasonal...?

I can't go seasonal where I last worked because I won't be able to get back down to Disney before my proficiencies "expire" (They expire the beginning of January). In Attractions you have to work one shift every 6 months to keep your proficiencies.

Otherwise I could go seasonal in another area but I don't think they're hiring seasonal employees as of right now.

Thanks for your help!!

I would at least email. You never know, they might have had other people turn down roles so some spots might be open! Good luck!! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you! :)

I would suggest emailing Disney. My situation was a little different than yours (I accepted my role then emailed saying I changed my mind and didn't want to come anymore.) I emailed Disney about 3 weeks before my program was scheduled to start and got an email back telling me I could still have my spot.

And for the record while I did send the email giving up my spot after the application had been taken down there were still a lot of people both on here and facebook that had gotten pending letters and were still waiting on a descision.

Moral of the story... don't give up hope, if you've proven yourself before (This is my second program) they're more likely to re-offer you a spot!

I almost rejected my acceptance as well after being interviewed for custodial and being told I was going to be in that role for sure. I lucked out. When I arrived they informed me my role was going to be in Vacation Planning. Best surprise I could of asked for and it ended up being best life experience.

I hope you can revert the situation and enjoy yourself in the program. Good Luck.
