Was 15 family members now 11 EEK!?!? July 2011 - *updated* 6/24/11

15 - 4 = 11 -- so 11 of us are going to Disney World.....

My brother has officially dropped out of our family gathering down in Florida. I'm bummed but I understand too. Honestly, trying to get him to give us information was like pulling teeth anyway so I think it's for the best. :sad1:

He is still going to pay me for his spots at the Illuminations dessert party because it's way too late to change the count now!!! At least I'm pretty sure it is (I should probably double-check the paperwork!) LOL!!! Hmm..it might be debatable...it says something about confirming the number 48 hours in advance but it does say 30 days in advance also for changes, so now I'm ?? I think I need to assume we need to pay but just double-check and see.

So...now I have to cancel our lunch ADR and stick with our breakfast one but I want to make sure my sister got the confirmation since I put breakfast in her name (didn't want any issues).

My sister has done colored t-shirts for the different day so now I will have to see if we can coordinate. LOL!

I'm all discombobulated right now....too many things to do...too little time and then people change stuff on me! GRRR!!

Ahh....the joys of things switching all over the place. :lmao:

I have now cancelled 2 ADR's for Crystal Palace! We had a lunch one for our entire group but as soon as we knew it was a possibility that my brother would drop out, we made a breakfast one but it was 9:15. I wanted earlier.

I was able to snag an earlier one so now we are relatively happy. It's not as early as I would like BUT it is before the park opens so that is good.

THEN...I'm now thinking we are going to use Sunday as our "Character Meeting Day"....we have 5 day park hoppers but we only have 4 days planned for all of us...my mom was going to hang out with my sister on Friday while my little family does the VIP tour. Basically she has an extra day that wouldn't get used.

We added a college visit which means we are actually getting down to Florida on Saturday night instead of Sunday. That means we can go over early Sunday morning, check-in and get our tickets. I will upgrade myself & my kids to a 6-day ticket (I don't think it's very much to add a day) and then we can just go see characters.

It will pretty much be a relaxing day because we aren't going to be in any big hurry & whatever characters we don't see we can see later.

The big one is we can go see Rapunzel & Flynn and it won't matter the lenght of the line. I know Stitch needs to be seen in there too. Then my sister can call me when they arrive and we can go over our game plan for the rest of the week with them. :)

Glad the ADR worked out - where are you staying the first night?

Off-site...somewhere in Kissimmee I think (can't recall off the top of my head but supposedly close-by) :lmao: I think it's either a Hilton or a Comfort Suites.

I looked at so many hotels that I can't even remember now. It's hard when you have a family of 6, trying to find a hotel that will hold you all without going to 2-rooms.

I looked into adding the cabins for an extra day but the price was HIGHER on that Saturday night by quite a bit, so I wasn't shelling out $300 just for an extra night, especially since we probably won't get there until later in the evening.

Disney really raises the prices on weekends! It is only for one night, and that makes it easier......but I can imagine that is harder finding a room for six.
