Warning to anyone driving through No. Virginia S I-95 this weekend

Just a heads, All south bound lanes will be closed from 1:00 AM to 4:00 AM on Sat 7/13 and from 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM on Sun 7/14. All traffic will be diverted to Rt-1 in Dumfries, Va via Rt. 234 and back to I-95 south at Quantico via Joplin Rd. Even though this is being done early morning hours traffic will be a mess......

This has the potential to be a huge headache. Traffic from DC south to the NC beaches starts early on Sat/Sun mornings in the summer, like before 6 a.m. If there are big backups when the road reopens, it may be difficult to clear that out before the swarms descend on the way to the beach.

At least the flooding rains should be out of the area tonight....
