The sound level in the queue for Ariel's Grotto is very loud. We no sooner got in line and had to leave. Even with his earmuffs that block noise it was still too loud.
Thank you. I usually keep up with this board for travels with my sister and mom, but I have become sound sensitive and this will help me. I find TSM's queue to be loud as well.
it might be worth while going to guest services disney may not know it to loud right now it under testing so this is when they want to hear about the problems. maybe they could lower it or work on it or they could guest a give warning before they enter.

We've been on that three times, but it's been very empty each time so we didn't notice sound. Although once we get to the loading area we get sent further down to the exit to load.

To each their own, in our experience with riding it a couple of times, the area before you load can be quite loud. But then again we have not seen it empty. We almost had to leave the time a child was crying because it was too loud for members of my party.

besides the 'human noise' is there also attraction noise (music, etc) that makes it loud?
Obviously, if there is music or sound effects, they can turn them down. If human noise is the issue, they might be able to add some things to dampen the sound, but probably can't do a lot more.

I have not noticed music in that area-it is possible that it was low or not running yet since the attraction is not officially open. I do know the walls appear to be cement with little to no decoration to lessen sound. If anything sounds echo in that area.

As I said, there was very few people in line. In fact, the one time we did standby it was walk straight up and on the ride. We even took a zillion pictures along the way and walked right up to a clam shell. There were empty clam shells both ahead and behind our party.
The other two times we were sent to the FP entrance and again walked all the way to the w/c gate with very few people around.

Yes, there is the Under the Sea music from the movie playing in the queue. The music was not loud, in fact, I didn't even notice the music (I was too occupied taking pictures). But, of course, my son did.

I didn't take pictures of the walls that I can remember. I think the walls for the attraction are the same type of material as the grotto. So it does not surprise me that sound amplifies.
