Hello!
This Sunday (June 1st) was my 180 day mark. Last week I finalized my hotel reservations for Nov. 28- Dec.4, made sure it was linked to Disney site, and did some dry runs on the restaurant board.

My bff and I were up and together at 5:30 a.m. with our lists and coffee, multiple phones, laptops, and a back-up i pad. The 6:00 time slot opened, we made our first reservation for the 27th... and that was it! The system would not let us book beyond the first day. We tried all that we could think of, no go.

At 7, we used the phones and I was able to secure most of our first choices, no BOG (long shot anyway). NERVE WRACKING!

To be brief, we called tech support later in the day, and were told that our hotel reservations were under one name, and Disney account under another(in my case, my Dis site was Deb instead of Debra). The accounts would not link, and there was no way for me to fix they had to do it on their end.

Just wanted to post a warning to anyone out there, check your account info ahead of time. I had no idea what name I was under, that account was set up years ago.

For anyone who has ever experienced not being able to make those reservations at 6, it was frazzling, imagining all my options being booked.

Luckily, it all worked out for us and we were still very happy to get our choices. I think the only super-high demand ones we wanted were Chef Mickey and BOG, but our time slot choices were very limited, even at 7 am 180 days out!

If you told a non-Disney fanatic what you did they would just shake their head and wonder why you're not in psyche ward. Of course, we Disney geeks totally understand why you had to be up at 5:30 to make reservations. :happytv:

Something similar here. It wouldn't link my DH to my hotel reservation so when I went on my 60 days out, I was in an endless loop.

Finally I decided to just do 3 out of four of us. I Deleted some of my DH's from our June's trip and then the his AP would get him FP+ availablity and copy to ours.

Called Disney tech at 7 AM. Got an incorrect answer 1st call. 24 hours later still not fixed. call again. Same wrong answer, hung up called again, got the semi correct answer (they had to unlink them and me relink them) and of course they promised me this would NOT affect my FP+.

Wrong. I checked 48 hours and all MY FP+ except my DH were gone!! I was able to copy ours to his but honestly, So stressful and not what I wanted to be doing away over Memorial Weekend.

Vacations shouldn't be this hard.

I had the same thing happen this morning. Called the dining line at 7 and was able to get everything I wanted and complained that my account was not letting me access my whole trip. The CM told me no one could book the days after their check in date online and everyone would have to call the dining line. I think the CM's need a little more education.

How fast does BOG for dinner fill up?????

I was surprised we were able to get Cinderella's Royal Table only like 4 1/2 months out from our last trip.

Often, BOG is gone in minutes.

I was looking for something else today, and was surprised I could still book reasonable times at CRT for our trip, which is now 76 days away. (2 1/2 months)

Omg yes, and especially because you need like 4 computers, 2 cell phones and a tablet to do it :rotfl:

We had all of those and still were not able to go online. Well, we could get online, see the reservations, and not touch them; all we could do was watch them disappear. During the hour we waited for the phone lines to open we tried windows 8, windows 7, google, google chrome, IE, Firefox, ipad, desktop (HP), Mac computer, cell phone and nothing worked for us. I was pulled up, logged in, had the credit card registered, did everything I was supposed to but no go for online. At 7 am I called and I got everything I wanted. I was looking online yesterday and came across 3 BOG bookings (party of 6) for 12/3. I have mine already, but I was surprised. Always keep checking!

It's common knowledge among Cast Members that many guests are unable to book past the 180 day mark online.

We are DINE agents, not IT. We have no idea as to why it works for some and not others.

Your comment about need for more education for Cast Members offended me, to be honest. I spend an enormous amount of time keeping up to date on everything related to a WDW trip. Is it my job? NO. Does it help my guests? YES. That's why I do it.

The next time you feel the need to generalize about Cast Members, please know that there are MANY of us who go above and beyond to make our guests' vacation extra Magical.

I, for one, thank you for your hard work. I have spoken with some of the nicest, most informative, helpful people in the past month. I must tell you I was majorly stressed out Sunday morning from being up so early and being frustrated because nothing worked online. I long ago realized the person on the phone has nothing to do with IT or the website, so it does no good to vent to them; besides, I just feel it's one of those things. Some people got through, some (like me) didn't. The agent I spoke with IMMEDIATELY put me at ease and walked me through some amazing bookings!

Thank you for saying this. It means so much to be appreciated for the work we do! You made my day. :)

BOG is often gone right away at the 180, but keep in mind the 45 day mark when payment is due usually results in dropped ADRs, and the days right before the trip. I was able to get BOG 5 days out for my trip a few weeks ago. Just subscribe to the approiate cancellation thread here on the dis and keep checking!

I actually think the MAJORITY of CM's go above and beyond. I've had the pleasure of chatting with many Dining agents over the years and 90% or more are lovely and very helpful. That is probably why a bad one sticks out so much.

Does anyone else remember when you had to call at 7AM 180 day's for CRT? There was an entire thread about what prompts you would hear at 6:59 vs 7 AM so you would know not to hang up and call back. Or before they mandated a CC hold on anything and CRT reservations were on ebay?

So anyway, I do like the Dine agents very much. IT not so much. They are overwhelmed over there with glitchs.

omg, this happened to us this morning! my computer wouldnt let me book online 180 days out, but my husband was able to do so on his laptop under his account. weird. now, i cant see any of my reservations. i think im going to call. i wish i didnt wait so long though!
