Warning from VMK Staff?

I received an in-game email from VMK Staff warning be against giving out personal information. Is this a general warning that is sent from time to time? Or does this mean someone reported me?

I've receive this message before and it hasn't been bc I've been reported, it usually is send out if there's BAD activity in the room-as in someone saying personal info etc..
I'm not on VMK seening as I'm at work so I can't recall if it was send out threw all the game but the last time I got that it was bc a girl was saying her school, age..

If someone in a room is sharing personal information, everyone in that room gets that pop-up warning (sometimes a warning in your message box as well).

Got this myself today watching checker. The room had got warning and yet kept talking about schools and grades. I was just sitting and questing on another computer but I noticed the pop up. when they kept talking I gave then a warning to stop and they did. About 15 minutes or so later I got vmk mail with warning, yet all I had said was my own warning to room.

What I think we are learning is do not leave yourself in a room others can access, we are seeing a lot of this people sitting and getting warnings because something goes on in the room while you are away.

I was afk yesterday and came back to a message that talked about asking for personal information and if its repeated you'll get banned. I was shocked because that is one thing Im very careful about.

That would be a general warning to the room. You will get a private message from vmk if you are the one doing it. If that happens, stop what you're saying cause shortly after you may be banned.

I don't think that's entirely true. I was on my boy account doing the quest and the room I was in got a warning. A message also popped up in my inbox. The only things I had said the entire time were "rabbit" and "chernabog." So, I think everyone in the room will get the popup, depending on which staff member is sending out the warnings. Unless "Rabbit" is a city out there somewhere

Agreed. Seems some do a general popup, and some send the messages as well. It doesn't have to mean you were the one the warning was directed at.
