We found eating at lunch time a very good way of escaping from the crowds for a while.
In summer we could have been in the parks from 8.00am with EMH to 11.30pm if we'd wanted but even we couldnt cope with this length of time.
We did EMH then a few other rides/attractions etc then had a long lunch and either returned to the hotel for a swim/snooze or on one occasion went for a stroll around the lake hotel visiting.
The restaurants were a lot quieter at this time and we had no trouble getting a table. It also meant we escaped the crowds eating in the evening as we were then happy to get a snack from somewhere like Market house Deli and sit and watch the world go by
