WARNING: Disney Vacation Account took money without permission

I got in at 5:30am ET!!! Now the next test...........do they take the right amount on Friday o_O. I'm not bailing yet.............this concept works for me........don't want to change for 1..........really annoying glitch.

Per my request last Saturday, my DVA balance was refunded this morning back to my credit card that was used for my contributions. I feel better that I'm out of the DVA for now. Hopefully everyone's accounts will be up and running again shortly. I see the website is up and working this morning (Wednesday).... maybe for good? Hope so.

I can confirm that I was also able to load the website on Chrome, Firefox and IE. No problem logging on with any of those browsers.

Let's see how long it lasts this time!

I didn't close my account, but I did request a full refund. I'll keep an eye on how the DVA performs over the next several months before I test the waters again. I loved being able to pay my DVC dues with just the account number instead of a pile of GCs and I did use it to purchase some tickets online. But I'm not willing to risk putting GCs into the account and then not being able to use them because of another glitch.
 

The Disney world layoffs were not cancelled, only the ABC division. Back in January 100% of the DVC tech support team was laid off and Indian contractors were brought in to replace them. The people working on this issue now are not Disney Cast Members and more than likely are not located in America. I was one of the ones laid off from DVC tech support so I know for fact this is what is happening.
 
I tried logging in this morning and it won't let me in because of my own security. I guess its pretty bad behind the login page that it keeps me out for my own safety.
 
I requested a $500 refund on 6/10 and received it yesterday 6/24. i requested the refund instead of gift card because I didn't want to call and couldn't request gc online.
 
Scratch that, i got in.

The DVA lady on the phone told me to use chrome, which i have been. Chrome was giving me the "logged you out for security" message. I tried through IE and it worked.

Guess you can't trust everything you hear...HA

And that right there is one reason I'm considering selling by DVC contracts.

I just wanted to say that I am so sorry for what Disney did to you and your co-workers. It was totally wrong and inexcusable! I hope everything works out for y'all. :hug:
 
Relieved the site is back up and saved monies accounted for. Don't mess with people's money when it comes to Disney!!!! Really hope this doesn't happen again.

got in, cancelled my auto payments and requested a refund of the balance on my account..I will pay for my trip directly on mydisneyexperience.com. I don't need this type of aggravation in my life. this is supposed to be fun, not aggravating.... :)
 
Thank you. Luckily I found a job with an outside company. Unfortunately I know a few that were not so lucky.

Glad to know you've found another job! I'm disappointed in how Disney is operating and I've never said that before. After more than a hundred Disney Park visits this is the first time in my life I don't have any future Disney plans :/
