I stumbled on this thread and acutally was not surprised by the fact that the products are shipped in original factory boxes. This is very typical of the electronics industry.
What makes me think is the loss of innocence of children in general, and in particular my children of course. The kids are 5,8 & 9 now, and many of their schoolmates claim that their parents are Santa! How silly is that!
I guess the confirmation came this year that they still beleive when we got busted (in a way)....
The family was over for X-mas and my 8 yr old daughter says real loud to everyone... with sincerity... "Santa left the boxes for the Drums and Keyboard on the basement stairs." I couldn't beleive it. Our basment is unfinished and our kids might open that door once every couple of months!
Of course I had this puzzled look on my face as I proceeded to investigate what she was talking about. She really beleived that Santa left the boxes there. I'm kinda glad she found them cause I don't know how we would have hid the boxes on trash day because it was at the curb until at least 5pm that particular day!
