Warm Weather/What Months?

We have always sailed in the warmer months - May, June and August. We are thinking about booking another cruise when it will be less expensive. However, we want warm weather. Weather to swim in. What months should we not sail?

We sailed November 1, 2001 and the weather was perfect. I live in FL, so anything lower than 75° is cold to me. I would say don't sail late November through early March if you don't want to run into cool weather.

well for you being from WV the cooler months wont bother you too much. if is nov or dec i bet it will be 20-30 degress warmer on a eastern or western cruise as compaired to WV.

We are also from WV. We sailed in Jan and it was more like 50-70 degrees warmer (75 - 85 degrees there). We love to head to warmer climates in the winter (ok, so the lower rates have something to do with it) to ward off the cold mountain winters. It is the perfect time to get away and get some sun. Feel free to join us this Jan. and don't forget to pack the sunscreen.

It can be in the 80's in January, but it can also be in the 40's if a cold front comes through. You just don't know what the weather will be like from week to week, that time of year. I would hate to be on a cruise when it's 40°. Can you imagine the wind chill on the ship at sea? brrrrrr

Go to a site like weather.com to check the average temps for your ports. For example, you will find that it is in the mid-80's to low 70's in St. Thomas in our winter. It can get cold anytime in the fall or winter, but if you want the lower rates and can settle for weather that is not 80 - 90 degrees all the time, you can sail off season and be very happy.
