Warm butterbeer!!!

Lots of twitter reports this morning that warm butterbeer is being served!!!! Anyone there to give us some first hand reviews?

Bartender at hogs head says that it's on a trial basis, in the Three Broomsticks, at breakfast. Breakfast right now is going to be full if those with reservations, which of course is for package people.

We might try tomorrow but I don't know if its worth it. Trial basis stuff annoys me because if you like it and they don't continue it what's the point?

That would be easy to make.

1Tb butter
1/4 cup butterscotch
1 can cream soda

Microwave the butter and butterscotch just so butter melts and mix it then pour in the cream soda. As long as the cream soda is room temp the butter mixture should warm up the soda to give you a warm drink.

I make a warm butterbeer latte at home and it's Delish! In a small saucepan, melt 2tbsp butter, 2 tbsp brown sugar, and 1 tsp vanilla extract. I also add a dash if salt to this. It will turn into a caramel type consistency and I add 1 tsp cinnamon and 1 cup milk. You can also add a shot of whiskey if you're so inclined, but the recipe doesn't call for it. Anyhoo, heat until the milk is warm. I have no clue if it tastes like real butterbeer, but it is very yummy!!

We will normally put ice to it. We have even put it in the freezer to get it like a slushy.

I really hope they make this a thing, since really in the books it says Butterbeer is supposed to warm you up after you drink it (thought I think it may still be served cold in the books? IDK, I've been meaning to re-read them, lol). Hopefully it won't be packed in the morning and I can go see if they have it and try it.

It was AMAZING Seriously, if you get a chance to try it, do so. I hope they keep it as a regular menu option.

It's so good!! They still have some left if anyone's around. We had two cups with lunch and went back for more!
