Its stuff like this which makes us as a family say no, we are not rewarding a company which acts like this with our dollars.
I applaud your commitment. I my self in the past have boycotted companies that corporate policy's I did not agree with.
Even though I am not happy with a lot of the changes Disney has not only recently made but changes they have made in the past I still give Disney some of my vacation dollar.
My wife and I have been DVC members for twenty four years and we still enjoy going to the hotels and restaurants. We currently do not visit the parks when we go to Disney.
I also want to try my best to support the cast members that are still working hoping others will do the same at some level to hopefully avoid more layoffs.
Eventually Disney will hire massive amounts of people again, most will probably be part time,Collage program and seasonal. This is what they do.
My friend was told you can retire and retain your retirement benefits (park passes, company discounts and such) or you can take the severance package. They chose the severance package because it provided much more of a benefit to them.
