Wanting to make a MM iron on transfer with initial in center. How??

I am wanting to make a Mickey Mouse head with our initial in the center to iron on a bag I have for an upcoming cruise. I found the MM head at smugmug, but I cannot get the text in the center of the head with our initial. Any creative people know what I'm doing wrong?? thanks.

You didn't say what software you are using to alter the image.
