Wanted to get opinions on Flying Fish @ boardwalk

One of my favorites at WDW. I go just about every trip. Great seafood (although they have a pretty good steak too), very nice wine list and the service has generally been good. When busy (and it is often busy), the restaurant can be a bit loud.

Very good food, seafood mainly. The steak is very good, if you like the sauce they serve with it.

I agree about the loudness factor, especially when it is crowded.

Most people love this restaurant, but it was not our favorite meal. Not bad, per se, but not worth $$$$$ for us. Gald we did it once, but I'd rather eat elsewhere.

I'm not much of a seafood fan, but happily forked over about $34 for the potato wrapped red snapper TWICE!

The bad - they don't do so great on kid's meals. DS did not like his grilled cheese and fries.

Great food, chain restaurant though. Since Yachtsmen has gotten it's act together, tough call on who's better. I do think FF is more upscale.

We love the FF. They have the best steak ever according to DH. Foyot sauce is yummy. The old chef from FF has moved to my neck of the woods in Michigan and included the steak on the menu at the JW Marriott in Grand Rapids. Can't wait to get our Disney food fix before our trip.

My favorite restaurant in WDW. We are eating there twice in June:)

Initially Flying Fish was one of our favorite places. Our first experience was wonderful. Service was great, food was excellent.:thumbsup2 We ended up going again last May and had a terrible experience. We checked in 10 minutes early. We were the only ones checking in at that time. Then more people are coming in and they are getting seated.:confused3 This starts to make us wonder but hey we give them the benefit that maybe these diners were late. Now 20 minutes go by and finally the hostess says who are you again.:scared1: This doesn't go well with us. They see we are annoyed and low and behold we now are getting seated. The waitress was not very attentive and was more interested in a party of 4 who ordered a bottle of wine. Finally hubby's soup comes in a very big bowl, but a very small opening for the soup.:scared1: Hubby orderes scallops for $36 and I ordere a steak.
He gets his scallops all right, 3 to be exact. Needless to say, we haven't been back. Moral of the story..do not order the $36.00 scallops.
