For those of you not familiar with that brilliant 1986 film "Flight of the Navigator," I'm talking about the silver shell-shaped ship that currently sits just outside of the exit to Lights Motors Action theater. This one:
[Dang, I guess I don't have enough posts here to insert the link.]
I'm writing an article for my small history/pop culture website (not sure if it's ok to post a link here, so I won't just in case) about this prop and its (near) identical twin that sits above the Thirst Rangers kiosk in MK's Tomorrowland. I hope to track the history of these props and would like to include photos that are as detailed as possible.
I can shoot pics of the DHS prop on my way out of Lights Motors Action, but I'd like to get closer shots and from different angles. Problem is, it's backstage. I'm not going to venture over there, and frankly I won't be there any time soon. Is there anybody here who has closer photos from when it was located along the backstage ride route?
Or even better, is there any CM reading this who might be able to walk over there and take a few photos for me? Last week I talked to a CM lead who sent another CM over there with my phone, but the photos left a lot to be desired (and some were of the wrong ship
). I really appreciated them doing this for me, but would really like some better/closer pics, if possible.
The article should be of interest to any fan of "Flight of the Navigator," so I would appreciate any help I could get!
