I am trying to plan a surprise trip for my younger kids, DD 5, DS 7, DS 10, & DS 13, for the week AFTER Easter. My 2 older High School DD's will be in the Disney Music Days & marching on Main St. before the parade one day!!! : )

But...now my husband isn't sure if he can go...with 6 of us we need 2 rooms...I got my DH to settle on CSR...but if only 5 of us go it might be cheaper to do 1 deluxe(if i can get a nice AP rate)...or better yet 2 All Stars.

My DH doesn't know WHEN he will be sure he is coming or not!!!! Why can't he make up his mind!!

So my problem is how late can I try changing my ressies?? Do I book 2 CSR now & hope to change if hubby FINALLY makes his mind up??

How late before your trips have you changed your ressies?? How busy will the hotels be the week AFTER Easter?? Any ideas welcomed!

Just to give you a heads up on your planning.....school vacation for Massachusetts and most likely a few other NE states is the week after Easter. Also for many people who are veterans and do not want to be part of the Easter crowds, this is a great time to go since the weather is usually very good. As long as you book your room with CRO, you can cancel within 5 days of your trip. Check mousesavers.com for all the different rules regarding reservations. Also I am pretty sure that the season changes from peak to regular on April 18, 2003. Airfares have been very high from New England during this time frame also so you may want to factor that in your planning. Good Luck and Have Fun!!!

We go every year in October and the end of April. Last year we happened to hit the week after Easter and it wasn't any different then our normal May trips. I always make my April-May reservations after we return from our October trip. I do this just in case I change my mind on where to stay and also because I can only plan one trip at a time! So you could wait and book it when you know for sure or you could book now and change it. There is no harm in changing it when you get closer. If you book through CRO you have until 5 days prior to change or cancel it without penalty.

If you are not sure you can book multiple rooms through CRO and have all your bases covered. As Skiwee mentioned, you can cancel up to 5 days in advance without penalty. We do this routinely, then just apply the deposit from the cancelled room to the one we keep. That way, you won't loose sleep over what to do.
Good Luck
