Dh and I were there last weekend for a corporate function. The hotel itself is amazing. The function was very busy but we did manage to carve out a few hours for ourselves to play on the beach. I felt a bit like Cher with all of the clothes changes well minus the feather boas and fishnets The formal night that I stressed out about was a bit of a disaster but after a few minor wardrobe malfunctions (mending a dress in a ladies room while wearing it and in heels...) it was a pretty good night. They had a professional photographer there so when I receive those I will post them. Thanks again for all of the support!


I was very glad we ended up adding a few extra days on the end. It gave us a chance to play tourist and really let our hair down.

no thanks we were right above it, that was close enough for me.

The maid came in while we were there and said "You dont have a problem staying in the wing?" I said "no why?" She said " not in this but next door someone comitted suicide years ago... then there was HER you know...." then she said that she wasnt afraid but most maids wouldnt come down that hallway.

Didnt bother except late at night when I went out on my own. Your mind can play some prettty funny tricks on you.

Ive wanted to stay here for as long as I can remember..... I need to quit going to Disney World.

yeah I think its funny until I have to deal with it. The elevator in the old Victorian part is amazing but between the old iron gates and the elevator man who looks like he might just be orginal to the hotel.... it can get a little freaky late at night.

This is Exhibit A why people live in Southern California. It's too expensive, too crowded, and every Fall all the houses burn down. But the weather is incredible. The weather, along with the fact that my entire family lives here, is why I could never leave.

This lady came up to me on the beach and said "hey I see you have your camera ready. Wanna take a picture?" First thought as I turn around was "?????"

then she shoved that thing in my face and said "here I found this, Im about to put it back"



About an hour later she tracked me down again with a live starfish in her hand....


Dh thought this situation was the funniest thing he had ever seen.
