We promised the kids a WDW trip for graduation but our funds are very limited.
(We can get a "pool home" for around $750 but I want to stay on site )

The price you have off-site will be difficult to match in a DVC; just the yearly maintenance dues alone the member must pay for the number of points you want to rent exceeds the price for your off-site accommodation, let alone considering someone who may also have an interest payment. I think I have seen a rare post (maybe one or two) for deep discounts but generally the points are considered "distressed" and will expire in a few weeks to a month.

Thank you for the explination. We do not have any yearly dues ro fees for our Cancun timeshare, so I did not think of that.

Speaking of which - we would be willing to trade straight across a week for a week -

All inclusive (all meals drinks etc) at The Moon Palace in Cancun (or any of the Palace Resorts in Cancun) (I think their website is www.palaceresorts.com ) This would be an approx value of $2100.00 - $2800.00 depending on travel dates. (any time but holidays)

You might want to get an opinion from "Dean", who frequently posts here and on the vacation forum. He seems to be our "unofficial" expert on these matters. I've read postings where he recommends people check out the TUG site and he might be able to offer you guidance in your proposed trade. Good luck.

Sorry if this got OT - I simply want a trade or to rent 218 points. I personally was not intending to ask about the value in the thread - I was saving that for PM's etc.

a one bedroom for seven nights now that my other family
members can't join us. We are looking for $1600 to recoup
our cost. Let me know if you are interested.


The dates are before Sept though they are check in 5/31
and check out 6/7

Thank you, but the dates will not work for us - nor will the 1 br - the boys are actually 18 yr old step-sons and their mother will not let them be in anything less than a completly seperate bedroom (living room sofa not accetpable to the b****)
