Want to rent a scooter from Deckert's, but staying at Tropicana. Have you been able to do this?

We are coming for a first visit to DL May 7th-14th. I need to rent a scooter and have decided to reconsider my Apple Scooter reservation after hearing some not very good reviews of them. Deckert's has often been recommended as a great place to rent a scooter from. I was leary cause the price is higher, I thought it was much higher than it is though so I want to rent from them. But, I called them and when I said I was staying at Tropicana, they said they can't deliver there cause Tropicana has their own scooter place. That was shocking to me, and disappointing! I thought you could rent from anyone there, you just had to meet the scooter company to get it instead of them leaving it with Bell services. So, I called Tropicana and they don't have their own scooter rental company onsite, they just recommend One Stop Mobility which is a few doors down from the hotel. Deckert's prices are better so I'd rather go with them.

Does anyone have any experience renting with Deckert's while staying at the Tropicana? Or have you been told the same thing, and no one who stays at Tropicana can rent from Deckert's? That to me just seems very strange.

We have used Apple Scooter on four different trip in the past two years. There have been No Problems at all. The battery was strong and lasted from Rope Drop to Closing every day. We did charge it every night.
The scooter was delivered and picked up from our hotel. I felt their rates were reasonable.

I will use Apple Scooter again on our next trip without any concerns.

Thanks for sharing that Geemo! Glad to hear not all experiences have been so bad! I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do but glad to hear more from other Dissers, so glad you posted.

Not really understanding the 'no Deckert's rentals' if staying at Tropicana Inns and Suites, though, since it comes from the Deckert's side. Seems like if you are willing to meet them outside, or if Tropicana allows you to meet other companies to receive and return scooter rentals, then Deckert's should allow be willing to rent. Part of me wonders if she was correct and knew what she was talking about, lol. I guess that's because so often on the Dis, we hear so many phone CM's don't always give correct info, so it makes me doubt others sometimes, lol.

Has no one who's stayed at Tropicana really tried to rent from Deckerts? Hmm.

Tropicana's sister property is Camelot Inn, which is where One Stop Mobility is located. That's probably why they don't want you renting from an outside company. But, how would they even know if you were renting elsewhere if you were there to accept the delivery? That seems odd to me.

Yes, Tropicana said I could rent from anywhere, just had to meet them. So not sure why Deckerts said that. I'm going to call back tomorrow or the next day to check again and tell them what Tropicana told me, thanks for that idea @bumbershoot !
Still surprised no one else has chimed in that this was or wasn't their experience. I figured it if happened a lot others would have heard of it.
