 Hi everyone.

Our annual migration to Disney this year will be the 18th of March. I would like to loose 15 pounds for the trip. My DW doesn't need to loose a pound (goodie for her) but I on the other hand had a wonderfull thankgiving and a great X-mas (oops) now I guess its pay back time. So that leaves me about 9 weeks to shed some weight. Is this realistic and would any of you be interested in loosing weight with me and together help motivate each other ?
I know we did this on the Board a couple years back and it was a great help for most of us.

I am in with you. I want to lose 15 pounds too. I would like to lose it by the March Break, but I would be happy with 8 pounds by then.
What is your plan of action?

:rotfl: I'm with you as well, however I'm nursing a baby. I don't know how easy that would be! :goodvibes

Good luck!

Count me in...while I would like to lose more than 15lbs I think of goal of Mar. 18 to lose 15 lbs would be a realistic one for me.

Count Me In!

I've had a bad back since the beginning of November and have basically become a slug! Was starting to feel better but when we went to DL, well, I guess some of the rides I should have stayed away from! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I am going to start up my Gazelle tomorrow! I hope!LOL

Good Luck Everybody!

I will check in again in a couple of days

Good luck everyone!!!!

Count me in too

Need to lose about 40 or so ... but know that will take time!!! I will be happy with about 15 by our March Break trip!

We are planning on starting South Beach and giving it another go. Did it last year and all was going well (lost 11 lbs), then my grampa died and I got sidetracked and never got back on track. So now I need to get it together and do this!!

Support is good :chat:

Me too please.

About 2.5 years ago before we went to Dis the first time I lost 60lbs and went from a sz 22 to a loose 16 and was doing so good.... then things happened in my life and I let it all go... sigh. I gained back about 40 of that. and am back in a tight 18 :( :faint: :rolleyes1

I started increasing my water intake this weekend and am up to 4 bottles of water a day now.... want to take it 1 step at a time so I'll work on the eating /portion sizes next.

I have until October to loose at least 30lbs. I guess the dog is going to get lots of walks!! :dog:

I've been inching steadily upwards for the past 18 months or so, and I've finally reached the breaking point. So I've set myself the rather aggressive goal of 2 lbs/week for 20 weeks - my ultimate goal is to lose 40 by July 1 through a combination of diet and exercise. I'm 10 days into it now and down 3.2, so I'm off to a good start.

There's several of us at work doing this right now, but having a larger support group will be a big help.

I've lost 35 and hope to lose 5 more before our Mar. trip. NO Potatoes .white bread and eat whole wheat pasta twice a month. Also exercise. I do pilates every Monday night and walk 5 days a week. I'm up to 11/4 miles. Now if I can just stay away from chocolate.

Just started myself on Thursday, nothing like the prospect of bathing suits and picture taking to get you motivated. I have 52 days to lose as much as I can. This time though, I am going to continue my efforts (within reason) on holiday and when I return.

Hi BitsnBearsMom...this is my goal, i would LOVE LOVE LOVE to lose 60 lbs by the time we have our trip (November 11th this year!) I would go from a 20 to hopefully a loose 16 or even a GASP 14!!!! I have made a goal of 50lbs. We are both in it for the long haul, you for October, me for November!
I only joined this board today but plan on making it a regular haunt for me until our trip. So i will be watching for your updates and i will post mine. Good luck!!

This is GREAT everyone!!! Keep us all up to date with your progress or tell us whats not helping your progress ie: cravings, motivation for exercise, etc. Maybe one of us has the answer your looking for or the words of inspiration you need to keep at it. Nike has a logo "JUST DO IT!" It realy makes alot of sence now that I'm trying to loose weight and get into shape.

- I am contemplating going for a 40 minute walk right now but just worked a 12 hour shift and am tired. MMM mabe I should just do it.

I need to lose a LOT of weight.

Last August I bought an inexpensive treadmill and started walking on it every morning. At first I could only do 12 minutes, but I worked up to 30 to 40 minutes and did it almost every day from August to November 24th, when we left for our WDW vacation.

I didn't lose much weight, but I was impressed by how much it improved my stamina. I walked all around the parks every day for two weeks with my family and never felt tired or needed to rest. I was very proud of myself.

Unfortunately, I came back home and caught the flu and was in bed for two weeks. Then it was Christmas. Then New Year's. I've only been on the treadmill 2 or 3 times in total since we got home, and I'm sure my weight's creeping even higher.

So count me in! I could sure use some support.

Teresa

You go go go! I'm with you. I just want to be stronger but if I lose a few inches in the process I would be estatic. I'm walking more and just got another stability ball that I sit on when I am at the puter. It really helps strengthen abs and helps my posture. Also I have been doing crunches on it at least twice per day. It is easier than trying to get up off the floor. That's my tip of the day! :flower:

Good Luck EVERYONE

Hockey Mom - my goal is 20 pounds by May 1rst. See your also shooting for a may deadline - how much you looking to lose?

Did a good job of sticking to my diet on week number 1. The only problem i'm having is my stomach is doing flip/flops think all these veggies and salads are starting to take its toil.

To all you who have dieted before - will my stomach get used to all this roughish (sp?) soon or is there something i should be doing?
