Want to join me in my waiting for some kind of announcement

waiting with you. we will need 2 or 3 rooms and want to do mod. 3 generations. my family asks me every week if the deals are out yet as I am the planner. I know it was July last year so I figure we have a bit of a wait still. also I am checking airlines constantly too. Our dates are 11/30-12/7

Just realized we are looking at the same dates as you are too!

wow after our last Disney trip (4yrs ago) glad the DisBoard is still going strong ... we are planning on going atleast once every 2years now that our two DD's are 7 & 3.

Planning on atleast 7days but not set on date yet, between end of June and late August (oldest is on vacation)... just hoping for a good FD or room discount....

glad i am not the only one... was/and still am worried about the crowds and flight prices from LA to Orlanda

Waiting is the worst part....
:confused3

I am right there with you. If there's a regular FD or other discounted offer we'll be making the trip down to see the mouse. Otherwise, it will most likely be a cruise or something else for us. We've thought that if no discount comes out we may toy with the idea of staying off site and just visiting WDW one or two days and the rest elsewhere.

We always enjoy IFFW and the parties and we've been extremely lucky to have gone and had great trips since 2007. We've seen the Dining plan go downward (in value) since 2007 but we still enjoy it even today!

Hopefully no more :scared1: I can understand WDW wanting to wean people off the FD discounts but there's a reason they begin it in the first place, isn't there?!?! It's like taking candy away from children if they take it all away now....

wean i can handle... cold turkey will throw me over the edge LOL I am greatful that Disney does offer promos, just hope that it still benefits us so we can keep taking yearly trips.

YES!!! This is what I'm talking about! It has been 2005 since we visited the world and stayed at Poly with free dining for 5 under 3k! And that was 7 nights!! Most the free dining deals now state 5 nights and 6 days...I'm not fooled, I know that they're stealing 2 days of my escape away! Now we have 3 teenagers and by the time we go in September one will have turned 18 so will be paying more for adult...:( We need big deal for 2nd week of September! Malacajo..we will do our best to get there!! :)

LMHall, we will make it happen!!!! We'll be riding Soarin together before we know it!!!!! Rest assured, some promo will come out then, I just know it!!:yay:

We have never used the dining program must less free dining deal, so I have a few questions. Is there a minumum number of day tickets that you have to have?

To add any type of disney dining to a magic your way package you need at least one day ticket purchase. I think there may be a way that AP holders can add dining because my parents are FL residents and AP holders and they purchase dining plans. But as far as booking a package that includes dining you need to have at least one day passes purchased.

Good luck with your airfare Thanksgiving is late this year Nov 28 so your looking to fly Thanksgiving weekend

Last year we went the week after Thanksgiving but this year with it falling so late the week after is PW which kinda messes that time up possibly for discounts?

The week I want to go in Nov is Jersey week so doubtful time for discounts, we may end up having to go in October to save I am afraid

Belle, is it me or is it more painful hearing all the possible promo cuts? Our family of 4 really counts on FD and we usually stay at Mod to get the regular dining. Pulling my hair out trying to figure any possible totals, with could be discounts. I am driving my family nuts. We are going regardles, shhh don't tell Mickey that, but really could use a good discount to make the saving easier.

like I said, Painful and in real need of some pixie dust to put me out of my misery :hourglass

I was surprised to see how much the prices went up on the dining plan as well as the rooms. I went two years ago durning Christmas and paid around $90 a night a POP, but was surprised when I saw how much it is this time. In the end we are going to try CSR lol, but hoping for a pin code or discount.

I'm just starting to think about a Dec. trip. I am considering staying at one of the mods, as we need 2 rooms and prices are just getting crazy.

I'm waiting too. Just posted a similar thread before I saw this one. We are going in November, and I know it is way too early to be waiting for November discounts, but I love seeing what will be next. This year's discounts have really had me on edge, because they are nowhere near as good as years past, so I can't wait for ours to be released, just so the suspense can be over.

I'm waiting also. Hopefully they will offer free dining, after all it is all about the food. I had gotten a promo code(not pin) and the CM was really trying to have me book. Our dates are probably going to be Dec 1-7th. We can not go if there isn't a discount.

there's a week in between. PW doesn't start until Dec 7 this year

Waiting patiently for FD *fingers crossed* for mid-late August. I don't recall them ever announcing FD as late as May for the end of summer, usually end of March/beginning of April?

I have heard (rumors) that FD will ONLY be offered to those staying at Deluxe hotels, anyone hear this too? :confused3

All free dining promos have a 3 night minimum, 14 night maximum resort booking requirement and a 2 day base ticket requirement.

Since 2005, most of the August/September free dining offers have been released in late March or early April, but the exception was in 2010, when the August/September FD dates were not released until May.
