Want to Fly out of BUF for AUG--Can't Find Good Rates??

We are booked at WDW from Aug 21 - 28 and I checked several airlines from SW to Air Tran but can't find the "great" rates that I see everyone talking about. I've been watching SW closely since Jan but have not seen any good rates. Is is still possible to get a seat sale (I saw great deals earlier if we were leaving in May)? I check Air Tran but at $747.20 US (for four) it still seemed rather high--I know it's cheaper than T.O. but not like what I've read about on this board. Any suggestions...airlines or anything else would be appreciated. Thanks.

You need to download the program called DING from soutwest.com. It tells you at least 3 times daily of their flight deals. I haven't seen many in the past week for Orlando. However, that is how I got my $49 each way to Orlando for this coming weekend back in March.

What did you do for the "zip code"?? It won't let me enter a postal code.

Okay I just found a zip from the Buffalo area and used that one

I downloaded DING. Now I'm obsessing about getting a good price.
I think we are looking at the first week of Dec. Dec 1 - Dec 10.

Does anyone know when SWA will start booking these dates, since they are only booking until Oct 28th right now. The mid of every month do they open up a few weeks or a whole month?

Right now the best I can find around that date is $223.29 CDN Dec 3 - Dec 10 on United out of Buffalo. So should I wait for SWA?????

I plan to wait. I think if you are leaving in December you have lots of time. It seems that the seat sales seem to happen with SW around 1-2months before. The seat sale that just passed $39-49 (each way) began in March and was for travel between May 21 - June 21. I am hoping we'll get a good deal for Aug if not I think we'll drive (UGH).

Regarding the DING how / where did you get a Buffalo ZIP code? I tried to download it before and had the same problem of it not recognizing my postal code.

I just googled Buffalo zip codes. Use the same one I did 14228. No idea where it but does it really matter? I see on the SWA site there is a button for international purchase and I know SWA gets Cdns flying ALL the time. I just wish Air Canada or even West Jet would figure that out and drop some prices.

Guess I have some time to wait before booking my flight, that's good.
