Has anyone unbooked more than 5? I don't want to get fired.

It never said anywhere that unbooking is bad if you do it far in advance. Sometimes I accidently hit the book event button and have to unbook it. :(

Yes, I have. But here were the reasons why. I've never been contacted by SPI about me unbooking. I'm NOT saying I'm right or wrong...and no one will get in trouble. I'm just sharing my experience. Not once did I have a kit already delivered to me when I unbooked though.

WOW.....didn't realize I had this many. I started demo'ing end of April 2006. So 9 unbooked. 4 of them were re-booked. So, 5 true "cancels" on my part if you will. And in case it matters if its a percentage of how many events you DID do....I completed 34 events in that time frame.

1. First event. I booked because I was excited to have my password & wanted to see how the booking system worked, but them quickly realized I didn't have an MC card or starter kit yet...and didn't know if I would receive in time. I guess I freaked & unbooked.

2. Unbooked on a 3day weekend because we decided to go away. About 2 wks in advance.

3. Unbooked one store after an AWEFUL experience at that store management with a prior event. Sent an email to SPI explaining problems, and that I would unbook --- BUT BOOK ANOTHER STORE INSTEAD.

4. Unbooked a Nuetragena about 1 wk in advance. Decided I don't like HBA demos.

5 & 6. Unbooked 2 stores (same event)...but RE-BOOKED the same 2 stores...just swapping order of dates. My personal reason of wanting to get home earlier from nearest store since it was Halloween.

7. Unbooked a Tassimo. Decided I didn't want to go thru that demo a 2nd time. Unbooked more than 2 wks in advance.

8. Unbooked a Suave/Lipton during December. Just shy of 1 wk in advance. Had been sick and wasn't getting over it.

9. Unbooked a 4 hr Target event...and booked a 5 hr Walmart event for same day. More pay...and I didn't have to worry if the product/kit would be there.

I have unbooked six times and have completed 19 events since July. One time I unbooked the same day due to babysitting issues, and they told me it was going in my file, but I think it was a scare tactic, because I still book events.

Enviga - pronounced ( in vee guh ). To invigorate your metabolism. They just did a segment on the Today show about diet supplements and they covered this product. Splash - you were right on with you analysis. I’m kind of regretting signing up for this. Unfortunately, WalMarts are never available for me and I’m taking what’s available.

Yes I too have unbooked a few I think probably 4-5 but I have rebooked right away for 3 of them, meaning, I hit the button and withink a couple of minutes i changed the date (picked a weekday duh!!) and one was this enviga switch, i mean if you look its obviously a switch. I unbooked the 2nd tassimo as well with a couple of weeks notice and the lastest I unbooked one I think was one week in advanced due to we went out of town the weekend before and I needed to do other things the following weekend so I decided to unbook. I think as long as you dont leave them hanging it shouldnt be a problem.

Splsh, did the walmart event come up for you yet???

Funny enough I just checked and it seems that someone else did what I did as another enviga event is showing up that wasnt there last night. hehehe

Nope. I'm thinking we won't be getting the Cape Cod Chip event since their factory / store is located in MA (only 1.5 hrs away)....and they do their own sampling events too. Oh well. I'm stuck with Enviga for 4 hrs by the freezing cold Target front door.

Well, I found out why I could not log in. I sent an email asking why to my rep last night and this is the reply I got:

"It appears you unbooked an event online on 2/5 for 2/11.
Dear Patricia,

According to our records there has been a compliance issue with a
specific policy or procedure as set forth by The Merchandising Team.
This could include unbooking via the eBooking website, not contacting
if
you are unable to perform the event, failing to mail your store report
form within the allotted timeframe or an undesirable audit result.

Your eBooking privileges have been revoked until you call 888-777-4747
to clear up the matter at hand.

Please understand that your employment has NOT been terminated, your
eBooking privileges have simply been revoked. You may still check for
open events by calling 888-777-4747."

NICE...

I was a bit annoyed and called Amy to tell her I have the flu and I am not working with/serving food to people when I am sick. This is the FIRST event I have ever unbooked and wanted to give someone else time to pick up the event! I also booked an event for 2/17 right after. Why even HAVE the option online if it is a no no. She had no answer for that. I also told her many people I know work for MC and have unbooked several events. No answer for that either!

 Sounds like TMT is just "fun" to work with. Good luck.

I wonder if it matters too (not that it should) if your area always has lots of still available events come event time. Like in other words...what's one more.

But in FL, I would think all the jobs are probably snatched up since so many retirees live there. So maybe they are sticklers thinking a job WAS covered...but now its not. ????? Just talking out loud. Ignore me.

Amy turned on my access right after I talked to her but I think she could tell I was a bit annoyed:) She said in the welcome email they send it says do not unbook online.

Splsh, by the tumbs up, did you get that also in your email, I know you work for Spi like i do right? I just dont remember that.

I agree with Patricia, why have it if they are going to give you grief on it, and one weeks notice is enough, I know here, everything I have unbooked gets snatched up within 24 hours.

No, sorry, my :thumbsup2 was for glad she's all set.

Yes, I'm spi. And now for some reason...that don't unbook online part sounds familiar. :rotfl: Who knows? Maybe its in my paperwork? Maybe It read it here from a TMT person? Anyway...5 true unbooks done online on my part, & never an email or loss of priviledges. So, maybe I'm just dreaming that I remember it.

When I was hired, I received this paper titled "Who is Mass Connections?" which explains staffing agencies, scheduling, special events, materials, health & safety, etc... The only mention of unbooking is in this paragraph.

"Staffing Coordinators may also contact you to schedule available job opportunities. Once booked, your commitment to attendance is vital to maintaining a good EP rating. If you need to cancel, contact your agency immediately. EP are rated on dependability, capabilities and sales results. An EP in good standing receives more opportunities and bonuses." My TMT "Dear New Employee" letter does not address scheduling or unbooking.

You rang, Ma'am?

I am hoping to be Mr. Kotex (off-date).

I had that bisquit event from 11-4 on the 3rd as well, but I had to unbook it due to having an appointment at 2pm to get our taxes done... Bummer... and now the kotex opens up. *crosses fingers that it is still up for offdate"
