There were FUEL-UP off dates I was waiting for. There were TONS of Target Choxie's available. And other misc stuff too far from me.

I have to second this... there were two Fuel Up events that were there as of midnight last night but this morning I can't find any thing... I even changed zip codes & shortened the time frame... now granted they 'could' have been booked by someone else but it's funny that they've been hanging there for a few weeks & now that they've changed the search, they aren't there.

Well, at least you guys get to search. I rec'd 2 emails that my scrubbing bubbles event was NOT cancelled, and that I should check my schedule, but when I tried, I couldn't even log on!!!

Thanks everyone for posting about the Altoids event...I was able to get it!!! Events seem to be posted for me about an hour or two after I see others posting about them. Now i am going to keep an eye out for the Neutrogena one that Wenpop mentioned. Thanks again all!

I just picked up the Neutrogena event too, Oh when will I ever learn about these non-food demos. After being brutally rejected during the Garnier event, you would think that I have had enough punishment. Oh, but I keep thinking that we got to pay for that Disney trip that is already booked in April.

Neutrogena Eye Makeup Remover and Cleanser for 2/24!! I've never done a food event yet and prefer not to! What happend at your Garnier event?

Oh....and I checked my portfolio just to make sure it still had everything checked off....and it does. So, its not that either.

I also refuse to do any none food events. They are too BORING. It can be difficult enough to get people interested in free food but trying to get someone to look at cleaning products/makeup is a nightmare. Most of the time, coupons aren't included so you can't even use that to draw them in.

Intersting that scrubbing bubbles has been cancelled. I signed up recently with Servco when events with Mass were non-existant in this area. I got a call from the Servco manager last night saying she had a scrubbing bubbles event coming up if I was interested.

I'll be doing my first demo for Servco Saturday at Publix. Lays chips and diet pepsi. It is closer to my house but it only pays $9/hr. Not great but more than sitting home.

Between the 2 companies, I have something book every Saturday and Sunday until early March

Hiring is done all by computer, then you mail in some forms, & you get a phone interview. I never had a phone interview when I was hired though.

Where in MA? You better not be after "my" job. lol I'm southern Worc county.

No not near Worcester, North Of Boston closer to Salem NH. So all you did was apply on line, then keep checking to see whats available and pick and chose what you can do? Also are you an independent contractor? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks for your help.

Let's see what I remember.
Watched the training video on MC site.
Applied on MC site.
Printed off remaining forms & had it notarized & faxed it in.
Received email (within a day back then) stating I was hired. (They hire everyone it seems. lol)
Waited to receive my username & password by email.
Meantime, received my welcome packet & MC debit card in the mail.

Once I received my password, I was all set to start checking website for events to book.
Then I received my starter kit with table, apron & hat in the mail.

That was last spring. I think things take a bit longer now to take place. But I think all that happened within 3-4 wks.

By the way, I was assigned to SPI. That's the agency that handles MA for MC (Mass Connections).

I am kinda disappointed. When I first looked into this, they claimed they had opps in several towns within 10 minutes from my home. I finally got in and I've been searching several times a day, but the only events that are coming up for the next 2 months are at least an hour away from me. I've also tried just 2 weeks at a time, but I get the same results. I just don't get it. We have several Walmart and Harris Teeter stores close, but it seems the only ones that MC are using are the ones in the big cities.

sorry to hear about your events not coming up, we are very slow here is s. fla. finally the altoids and neutrogena popped up but we will be out of town for one and the other, well i dont take those 2 stores so i am not sure if someone snatched up my fav store or they just offering it at those stores only, but yeah its been pretty dry around here, i have only done 1 event so far, the garnier and have the fuel up in a couple of weeks.
