I just checked the website for the store. I called the nice man at customer service and apparently the road the store is located on is split in 2 sections. I was on the Wal-Mart section. They are on the Courthouse section. If there had been a phone nu,ber on the form or the help desk had ever called me back then none of this would have happened. Oh this just makes me mad!!

There ya go. THAT'S YOUR OUT!!!! Now go use it with them. Copy your email to everyone you have an address for at SPI & fight your case. Ask for that day to be considered a warning instead of reason for termination. You called THEM looking for help that day...and they didn't HELP you!!!

Same results using Toaster oven as toaster when baking the Toaster Strudel - Cold inside. It wasn’t frozen, just cold. We always brown them in the toaster then nuke them for 10 seconds. Since we don’t have a microwave, I think we only have two choices to get a warm inside: leave product out for 15 min. before toasting or turn product over and toast again. By the way, the directions say not to remove product with a metal utensil. I’m leaning towards leaving the product out. What’s your thoughts. And by the way, the strudel didn’t stick to the foil.

I’m driving car pool for band in a few minutes since I can’t do noon pickup :), so I’ll check back in about an hour.
Good info! I vote for letting product thaw some. :thumbsup2
I assume you know all this because you have some at home & conducted "kitchen testing"? :rotfl2: Thanks!!!

Yes, my DH and oldest daughter eat Toaster Strudels. I made one for my DH this morning as my "test" case. On "medium" setting on the toaster oven it does the same thing as the toaster - brown on the outside and cold on the inside. I was going to experiment with my DD, but she is suppose to have protein & water for breakfast this week.

How do you get hooked up with the Sunflower group? I looked on the internet but that seems to be for stores. I did get hired by NCiM (New Concepts in Marketing) but they only pay $54 an event. They do have events every weekend at my local Ukrops grocery store so that is a plus.

I don't know anything about them, but I see them at all the Walmarts. I think maybe they have a local agency in each major city?

I just read your other posts, I think it's terrible.

Do you think we should make an executive decision and use a toaster instead? I've never gotten cold ones in the toaster, my kids eat them all the time.

Sorry I didn’t get to you earlier. I’d already left for my event as I’m an hour ahead of you. I don’t see any reason why you couldn’t use your toaster since the product can be prepared in either appliance and both appliances pay the same - $6.

Could they give us any more product to put on one table? I think there should be a two product limit. There was a Promoworks lady close to me with a card table doing Breyers Ice cream only. We needed to switch tables based on room needed. :rotfl: Maybe we’re paid more since we can promote more products. There was some interest in my product, but not many sales. I seemed to get everybody after they had the ice cream sample. A lot of consumers were wanting samples of the Wanchai Ferry product. Made a note on my report form that that may be a popular demo. I was able to have hot strudel samples by leaving the product out for a few minutes then toasting. Two off-dates next week for this.:thumbsup2

I used an Oster toaster instead, it did a perfect job. My table was packed! If I'd brought the toaster oven, I would've been in big trouble for room. I wish they'd given us plastic tongs instead of the hot pot holder, I need to buy some for the future.

I bet we're not paid more, but the company is. I cut out the Boxtops for Education and gave them to kids, they liked that. I think I'll take the wrap to the school to make a big poster.

I ran out of Hamburger Helper at 1:30 pm - people were seeing others with them and rushing over. I ran out of Toaster Strudel at 3 pm. That last hour lasted as long as the previous 4.

Glad you got off-dates for this, it's a busy one, I'd do it again. I'm doing Uncrustables at ST on Sat., I'll like that one too, but nothing again until the 25th and nothing in sight for the future except an ST in Sept.

Whew!! just got done my first demo!! It actually was fun. I must be going nutty from sitting home with the kids this summer!! It was nice to have adult conversation. Went well but definetly not enough room on the table. Is anyone doing the snack attack? I didn't receive anything for that yet?

I did this event today, too. I put the Wanchai Ferry in front of my toaster oven and the HH display boxes on the opposite side. Left just enough room in the middle for 4 samples of PTS with the empty box behind them, so they would know what they were sampling. I, too, had lots of interest in the Wanchai Ferry Kits. I kept all but one box of PTS in the cooler next to me. The box I was using, I took the inner bag out and put it under my table with the extra napkins and the icing packets. I used the empty boxes on top as part of my display. I took kitchen scissors to cut apart icing and to cut the toaster strudels, before I iced them. I remember how messy the cinnamon rolls were. If there was a kid around as I was doing the last one, I would ask if they wanted to do it themselves. Also, put foil in my tray before I left, next time I will take extra to change it out mid-day. I even figured out how to open the scissors and use them as a spatula to turn and remove the PTS.

I can't get in to book events. It lets me log in but won't go to booking events page?:confused3

My sales were low too. Not really sure why. :confused3

I got very lucky on where I set up & found a super cool idea for whenever we don't have enough cooking room on our tables. I took a picture because I knew I couldn't explain it.

I too cut the cooked PTS, THEN put the icing on. Worked nicely. Thanks for who ever had that tip from doing the cinn rolls before.

This is the corner where the plug was near the product. See that hanging shelf?

My table was adjacent to it & I cleared off part of a shelf same height as table & used it as countertop space!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2 I just lined it with foil. I had my potholders, scissors, knive, napkins, icing & wet papertowels.

Here's my display. I had the black basket with me for napkins, but when I got there I realized I didn't have any room for HH samples, so I used the basket. PTS display box on top of toaster oven. Covered top of toaster oven with foil for cleanliness & placed samples there...they stay warm too. Next to that, stacked Wanchai Ferry product with info.

Problems:
Too many products to talk about....and very long scripts for each. People don't want to stay that long to listen.

Some people didn't realize the HH samples were free even though I called them samples & encouraged them to take one. :confused3 I didn't want to keep removing gloves to hand them out & have to put gloves back on.

And again, I just don't know why people weren't buying today. This could have been my worse sales day yet.

There are times when I want a "ONE SAMPLE PER CUSTOMER" sign. People wanted to take several HH samples. BUY A BOX!!!!!!!!!!!

There's this family that I recognize from being at this store alot. 3 kids. I always have to make the kids get their parents before they sample. (They should know this by now. :rolleyes1 ) When I have alot of samples, I don't mind so much if someone takes an extra when no one else is around waiting. Well today, each kid takes a PTS sample. And a few other people. Ok, all gone. Make some more. Meanwhile, the girl is literally standing in front of my table the whole entire time it takes to cook. I know why she's waiting. But I have other people milling around too. If I give her a 2nd one, her 2 brothers will want a 2nd one. I tell her today I can only do 1 sample per customer but she can also have a HH sample. Doesn't want HH. Wants PTS. I tell her sorry, 1 per customer since other people want some too. She leaves for a minute. Comes back & tells me "My Dad said I can have another one.". I said "Well I say you can only have 1. But you are welcome to buy a box of 6 for $1.63" :headache: THE NERVE!!! I was so annoyed after this because my sales sucked. I came to the realization that today I was just the free lunch wagon. (sorry for the vent, it just ticked me off) I was so waiting for the dad to come over & say something to me, but of course he never did, because she probably made it up.

I'm obviously getting old & the younger generation is annoying me. Just like it has happened to every generation before us. Its that darn entitlement thing. I'm here to sample one so you can decide if you would like to BUY one.

I had other people try to grab several while other people were also waiting. If they could count, they would see there wouldn't be enough for everyone if they took several. Entitlement. :headache:

And another grown lady went to grab one off my cutting board while I was icing. STOP!!!!!!!!! "I'm wearing gloves for a reason. If you touch that, I'll need to throw them all away & no one will get any." God, I sounded like a mother!!! She was old enough to be MY mother.

I think I've hit the point like all my other past jobs (banking & insurance) where I'm just SICK of the STUPID public -- not all of them -- just the STUPID ones. :rotfl2: OK, I feel a little better now.

I have to pack to leave for Cape Cod again so I can do another 2 events of handing out pet food coupons to people who don't realize the stuff on my table is pet food & they don't have pets or they are just tourists. :rotfl2: Oh, its "no tax" weekend. I'm sure its going to be BUSY & all I'll be doing is telling people where they moved things too. LOL

O.k. I figured it out. I had a page opened and minimized already with my ebooking on it. duh!!
splash i didn't have great sales either. Alot of people kept asking me how much the hh was after i told them it was free!
You do get sick of people after awhile. My "normal" job is teachers aide at a elementary school, so I am actually liking "adults" right now. lol.

I did my grocery shopping when I was done & ended up buying 2 Wanchai Ferry products because they looked interesting. They only carried Sweet & Sour Chicken & Kung Pou Chicken, so what's what I got.

I was also glad to see they now have Chicken Helper Microwave Singles, but I didn't buy them this time. Most likely will another time.

We had the fettucine alfredo ones. don't get those. My daughter said it was horrible, her and her friend wouldn't even eat it.

o.k. stupid question. I can't find the address to send in to the co. where do I find that?

oops i meant address to send in my report and receipts. My husband and daughter are talking to me at the same time, so my thinking and typing are getting jumbled! lol

Do you work for SPi? If so:

SPi, Inc.
13131 E. 166th Street
Cerritos, CA 90703

I print up a ton of envelopes on the computer at a time. If you ever need it again, I'm pretty sure its on the FAQ section of Staying-Connected's website.

Be sure to make a copy of your forms & receipts in case they are lost in the mail. I scan mine & keep the file in computer. If they need a copy, I just email them the scan files.

Hey Spash, you must've sent me your idea telepathically (sp?). I did the EXACT same thing with my table and outlet, except I had a rack of mustard by me.

I hate that grabbing while you're cutting - it happened to me with steak at ST (and I had a really sharp knife). People can be so dumb.

I sold out of Strawberry TS and sold many boxes of Strawberry with cream cheese icing. Not one box of HH sold, but I had several people tell me they've tried it and liked the Taco one the best.

Did anyone get coupons? My store report said coupons and I crossed that out and wrote brochures. I don't know why they print so many, people don't want them unless they have recipes or coupons on them.
