Was trying to print out my event instructions & store report. It kept saying not available???? I scrolled over and saw it was "Unbooked by you" @ 10 this morning. I wasn't home to unbook it?? Do i call the help desk in the AM? This event is 45 min away and I dont want to waste my time.
This was going to be my first event:sad2:

I've had their computer do that to me a few times - last year. If the job shows up in the available jobs section, then just book it again TONIGHT. If SPI unbooked it because it was cancelled, it won't be in the available section any longer...that is provided no one else booked it after it was unbooked. Did I lose you there? lol

I also find that unbook button a little to easy to accidentally click on. But you weren't home.

If you truly think their computer did it by accident, send them an email to make them aware of their computer glitch. I've done it a few times.

Quick panic attack:

If I am purchasing product do I need to a separate .75 cent swipe in? Or just my .75 cent swipe out?

If you are purchasing the product that is your swipe in.;)

Think of your MC card as your time card

If you're purchasing product, DO NOT make a .75 "swipe in" purchase. The product purchase lets them know the time you "checked" in.

Today i'm doing Freschetta build and bake pizza at ST. Go ahead and guess who will probably sell out and have to look intelligent talking about something not there but really really good. :rotfl2:

I'm doing Freschetta at ST too. A bit nervous with the "only thing I need to bring is my MC card and black hat" thing---and I can't really figure out how to assemble that cooler thing that came in my kit yesterday (but duct tape and staples will assist with that):thumbsup2

ANY CAPE CODDERS HERE LOOKING FOR EXTRA $ TODAY

Its 10am here. Daniel just called my cell & asked if I wanted to do a grand opening at Kmart in Hyannis from 11 to 4 TODAY. The Purina event. Someone backed out. The client is going to be there to audit, so the event MUST run. He's paying an EXTRA $100!!! And if you get a good audit, you could get an extra gift card bonus.

Unfortunately, that's a 2hr drive for me & add in Sat morning Cape Cod weekend traffic. And I have to be in NH tomorrow for family, so I would have to drive back from Hyannis tonight. Decided to stick with my local Target event for today instead.

I have his phone# on my cell phone if anyone interested.

Wow I wonder how fast I would have to go to make it before 11:00  Nah I want to stick closer to home. Though it is mighty tempting.

Just finished my first event. Went really well--the Dairy manager was very pleased with the amount of product I moved. They told me I can come back anytime!!!! The cashiers said when they questioned people about all the pizza coming through the lines they were told I was a great salesperson! We had a small issue with the coupons--it was $1.00 off per product. Well of course some savvy shopper (probably a DisBoard devotee) pointed out that there wasn't a limit to the number of products so picked up one each for --crust, sauce, cheese, etc. Then the cashiers started just ringing the same coupon for an order and not collecting "ONE EACH". The two managers (dairy and front end) had to corrrect that situation. But I had fun and made some money. Another MC recruit stopped by and mentioned that there are "too many" of use all vying for the "limited" jobs in my town. I told her I'm willing to travel about 30 miles but would always want local first. Well, she isn't. I think she was trying to tell me to leave our town alone if I am willing to travel. Whatever. Nothing can spoil my first day. Thanks to everyone here for the lead and tips.

Congratulations on your first event Belle1962.

Today was the first event I’ve had another MC person working. Well, maybe I shouldn’t use the word working. She was in an isle caddy corner to my back so when I didn’t have anyone, I’d glance her way. She was doing the White Cloud Diapers. She was there and set up at 11:00 - Good. Then I see her looking through the kids clothes. Pickup up stuff and looking at it. At one point she was reading the WM ad. I'd see her leaning against a display from time to time. At least 1/3 of the day, she was MIA from the table. Easily, she was gone ½ for lunch. Then at 3:20, she had the audacity to come to my table, my back is to her and I’m talking with a customer, grab my MC signage and say “Hey, I’m with MC too”. Hello, can’t you see I’m talking with a customer. Then she proceeds to grab one of my bags of pretzels. I about strangled her. At 3:30 she was packed up and gone. She went through the registers right after me though.

The Snack Factory Pretzels was a big hit. They had the 8oz. bags and I had plenty of product. Sold more than I could count.:woohoo: They had two sizes of bags 8oz. was $1.98 and the 6oz. was $2.00. Sold completly out of the 8oz. mainly because I pointed out the extra product for the same cost.

Back from Flat Earth Crisps at Target. Last time there were 13 bags. This time 119 bags. I hate setting up after the registers & near the exit. I get alot of tasters, but not so many buyers. Only sold 18 to people who were willing to go back thru the registers. Target demos are logistically stupid!!!! But a girl was nice enough to bring out a table on wheels so I could have a place to display bags besides on the floor.

$2.50 a bag & no coupons this time. BUT, perhaps I increased sales last time. Because they were no longer in a tiny spot on the bottom shelf, but now eye level on 2 shelves. Much more shelf space & product available. So even if I didn't sell it today, I guess people are buying them after they've tasted them. I guess that's good. There was also an end cap near the registers, but the LOD says no one ever buys those chips. lol

I asked the LOD today. I am the only demo person that ever goes to this store. lol I don't know if that's good or not.

I must remember to bring my little dustpan for chip & cereal events. People are just slobs. lol And WHY put 3-4 chips on a napkin when they are only going to take 1 from each napkin to try all the flavors. I just get to throw the rest away. I switched to 1 or 2 per napkin & told them they were welcome to more if they wanted.

I am back from doing the Freschetta event. I didn't sell that much today but quite a few people really liked it. I went through almost 300 sample size pizzas I would take 1 out and put another 1 in.

kpauley that other demo person sounds like she worked by me. She would spend more time talking on her cell phone and shopping then working.

What's with people picking off a napkin and leaving the rest? :confused3 I had more people than usual doing that today and I would tell to take the remainder with the napkin. Do they thinks it's a communal napkin? And you're right about slobs. People, usually kids, will drop a cup or napkin of product and not even bother to pick it up. I grab some napkins and do it myself.

Did another Coppertone event yesterday. Only 4 more to go..:rolleyes1

So I get to WM and there's another MC person there. She was an example of what not to do. She was at her table 10 min and then disappeared for 30 minutes at a time. I bet she's the reason I'm stuck with all this Coppertone.

Me Too!! I also had a lot of "Do they sell them here?" ... um no I just set up a table inside of Target & I'm selling them out of the trunk of my car in the parking lot. Duh!

And if I was audited today I didn't know it.. there were a couple of suspect people but I didn't see anyone snapping my picture which was required in the Flat Earth audit job description. Anyone else?

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I always love that question. :lmao:

Frechetta Pizza was crazy. People were waiting/sitting on the display furniture across from me for the pizzas to be done and cutting in front of each other to scoop it up. It sold pretty well with the coupons but man was I tired after this event:)

Geez its been so long since i posted. I havent had an event iuntil this pasrt Thur. and today. I had white cloud diapers today. It was sloooww!! and boring...lol. I even had some people ask me if it was free or if htey had to pay for the sample. Do any of you guys get that a lot? it seems that its usually at this walmrt that people ask me that. Either way, i didnt sell too many and I realy dont worry about being audited, i try my best theer but like the PP i always wonder about some people..lol.

However I had to say that there were two demo people there (altho not MC i dont think) and it seems I saw them everywhere but their tables. Abotu lunch time they walked past my booth, leisurely walking aand were talking and then a little while later they walked past it again. When I took my break at 1:15, they were sittin at the mcdonalds, i sat ate my fries and swipe in twix and left and they wer still there. They couldnt have demoed much ...lol

Anyway finally looks like its picking up, i have 3 demos in august so far. I havent been able to take any of the target ones and I dont have super target...
whew~!~ it seems like i had some catching up to do..lol

Please forgive my stupidity here. I finally got an email that my paperwork was received. I need to do the phone interview now and upload my head shot. I don't have a scanner. How do I get a 2x2 inch shot? A passport photo
is not 2x2. I know there is probably a very simple solution here, but I'm feeling dense. :headache: Any help would be appreciated!
