My family of 7 have been to both Bonnet Creek and Harbour and half want to go back to Harbour Lake and Half want to go to Bonnet Creek. It's left on me to make the Decision and I don't know what to do. My family is Myself and my wife a 15yr girl, 12yr girl, 9yr boy, 8yr boy and 3yr boy. We are going for two weeks at the the end of June. Since the family is split I think we should try a new place that just a good but works for my whole family. Any Suggestions.

Can anyone help
When did you last go to bonnet creek? They have added a couple of pools and new towers in the past couple of years. Tough to beat the location if you are going to the parks at Disney.

One place I have not stayed at myself, but read good things about is Reunion Resort, but it is a bit farther away than Bonnet Creek.

Well we stayed at Bonnet Creek this past August just went they opened the new pool and tower, the slide wasn't open yet but it was great. We stayed at Harbour Lake in 2009 and it was great and they has the best staff. I will look into Reunion Resort.

I'm an owner at The Fountains by Bluegreen, next to Floridays and across I-drive from Vistana Villages. I like it pretty well, would recommend it. Not sure how wel it compares to BC, never been there.

I looked at the fountains and it seems ok, I guess I'm looking for something with a good mix for my young kids and my older kids. I guess i need a plce with a great kiddie pool with zero entry and good place for the older kids.

Reunion Resort , you can rent your own home with a pool or a townhouse or condo. Make sure use of the waterpark is included if you rent from a private owner. I think it's included if you rent through the resort.
http://reunionresort.com/ They have some packages listed on their site.

sympatico, I have stayed at Lindfields and Crescent Lakes. We really liked Lindfields but I am looking for a change too. The main thing I am looking for is a home with a pvt. pool area. I mean fenced in or privacy hedges. I don't want to see my neighbors. Any help would be appreciated. No more than 4 bed rooms.

A lot of the Indian Creek homes are fenced in. I just ran across the one we stayed at a few years ago. I couldn't find it on vrbo after we stayed there but it was on a site that I looked at last night.

The back yard is fenced but the pool is north facing and only gets sun late afternoon from the west end. The house was ok, nothing special but the pool was private.
If you look at other Indian Crrek homes you'll see quite a few with fences.
The one we stayed at in Grand Reserve also was fenced on two sides and maybe a hedge on the back but there was a field between that home and the others in back.
If you look at this map I moved the markers for Indian Creek #11 and Grand Reserve #2 so that they point at those homes. Zoom in to get a good look and you'll see that the pool areas are fenced. Grand Reserve is further out than Indian Creek but it's very nice. I loved that house. Pool area was big and got lots of sun (south and west facing).

I guess it depends on what your kids like. It sounds like they want variety?

We like Vistana Resort a lot, and it is really good for a diverse range of tastes. Unofficial Guide has it on the list of "Best Family Resorts". We'll be there again in March with 7 of us; 3 adults and 4 kids from 14 to 10.

It is a very large but well contained and secure resort, so I am comfortable giving our kids a bit of "leash". The oldest doesn't really want dad watching her too closely. With 7 pools, there is a whole range of interest covered; quiet to party to kids pools, slide and waterfall at one. There is also a good activities center, and last March they had a HUGE inflatable water slide setup (not sure if it will still be there). Mini put is fun too.

Access to parks is excellent, possibly quicker than some onsites as the route from the resort misses all of the traffic.

Have a great trip!

How about Marriott's Lakeshore Reserve resort?

The timeshare resort pool is a zero-entry, a couple of waterslides, use of amenities at the two nearby hotels (Ritz Carlton and JW Marriott). I think that there's a lazy river feature.

And the villas look pretty nice.

Loved Lakeshore Reserve. Been there twice already, both times in a two bedroom townhouse. Great Pool, Great location!:

it looks great but when I went on tripadvisor to research all the reveiws says that the resort is not child friendly and it's more for adults.

I think you would be happy with the Vistana resort for a family of all different ages as they have something for all.

The big pool at the Fountains, one "lobe" is zero entry with some kiddie water play thingies, and then the next lobe is deep with two big slides. The zero entry one is connected to the big pool, though. The smaller pool they have water polo and stuff going on -- I think there's a toddler pool near the smaller one that is separate but doesn't have as much stuff. And there's one of those big chess boards (where you have to walk onto the board to move the pieces around) near the smaller pool.

The Fountains also has Lake Eve, where you can rent a canoe or a paddle boat. You can rent bikes there and I think there's a path along Lake Eve, but I heard about that after we left so I wasn't paying close attention. :rolleyes1 They have daily activities like XBox tournaments and campfire sing alongs and Dive in movie pizza parties, some of which cost a few bucks. My kids thought some of that stuff sounded cool but we were always too busy to do any of it. ;)

The Vistana is looking like a great option, They just added a new pirate pool and updated ther units.

Hi!

I've seen both Harbor Lake and Grand Vista....If you like Marriott's timeshares, then I think Grand Vista might be a better option than Harbor Lake....though Harbor Lake's pool is probably more fun for kids..... Otherwise, you can consider renting DVC points for a two bedroom for on-site stay which can also accommodate 8.
