I tried to compile all the information in the Pacing Partners thread here.

Forgive me if there are errors or omissions.

Please add your name or PM me and I will make the change.

On both mornings the WISH team will be gathering in the far left hand corner of the parking lot surrounded by porta-potties. This area is just after the gear bag drop. We are held here until 5:00 when we are allowed to walk down to the corrals. Please join us even if cannot commit to a time/pace.

Colleen,

Thanks for setting this up. This is a great idea.

I don't want to try to estimate a finish time for the half marathon, because I want to take it easy to keep the legs fresh for the full on Sunday.
On Sunday, I want to try for a 4:30 finish time. This totally depends how I feel that morning. I'm guessing the first few miles will be the real test. :)

Steve

Thanks Colleen!! :cheer2: I will definitely be at the meeting area before the full and I will try to get DH to be there before the half.
I also cannot commit to what will be come race day, but would love to meet up beforehand.

Thanks for this!! What a great idea! :) I will def be there before the 1/2 ;)

Steve,

I am taking your exact approach for Goofy. I too will have to go on feel Sunday morning. My 5 hour marathon may be a little lofty, but I will start there and see what the legs decide to give that day.

If you and Krista are able to make it, try meet us with us because I am sure the pace groups will shake themselves out the morning of the races (we still need to figure out the corrals and wave starts of all the WISHers).

Super, Sara! Can't wait to see you again! :sunny:

Kathy, so glad you can make it too. Those 2+ hours will fly by now that we have our WISH contingent in place. :cheer2:

This is great, Colleen! Thanks for setting it up! We'll definitely be there the morning of the half. Maybe we can figure out some of the corral/wave placements at dinner on Friday.

Well, I was planning on drafting off Kevin but I can see now that that ain't happening! :rotfl2:

Put me in the "Collecting But With High Hopes" category! :thumbsup2

Thanks for setting this up, Colleen! I'm gonna plan on drafting off of Judy! :thumbsup2 :teeth:

Kevin, are you trying to tell me something here? :rotfl:

I did say I could have made some errors! :Pinkbounc

Oh, these finish times are + or - 10 minutes. Have I covered myself enough yet?

:rotfl: Poor Kevin, I hope he didn't fall too hard after he fainted!

Seriously, Kevin, you can do this!

Judy, got ya down girl! :cheer2:

Actually the first few miles of the full on Sunday after running the half on Saturday are almost effortless. You'll be so revved up that you'll find you are going quickly and not feeling any work at all. It's those darn later miles to watch out for.

This year my plan was to run the first 10 miles or so at 10:30 per mile on Sunday, and then see what was left in my legs. Unfortunately I found no matter how much I tried to ease off I ran those first 10 miles in 10:15 per mile. Once I got out of the magic kingdom the bear was waiting for me, and he gave me a couch and a refrigerator to carry the rest of the way. I barely came in under 11 minutes per mile for the full marathon so you can do the math on my deterioration at the end and the pain that went with it.

Be careful early. I wasn't and paid the price with interest.

Good luck to you. It (almost) makes me wish I was doing the double again.

Craig

Thanks for setting this up Colleen. This is great! I need to remember to try to get my corral switched so I can meet up with my pacing team.

I am aiming for 13/mile which would put me close to the 5:30 group...all alone! I would much rather be in the 5:00 group...but don't know if that is realistic. In any case, I will plan to meet up with you all - I know I will be thankful for some company!

Bekah, I will put you down for 5:30 and we will wait and see what happens in the upcoming weeks. Things change and some of us may want to run a 12-13 minute pace come Sunday morning. (Especially those of us doing Goofy.) Meet at our gathering place marathon morning and we will have time to sort things out.

Colleen

I'm going to be running(/walking) the 1/2 and I think that my pace is going to be 2:45. Total guess.

I've never done this before and so I don't know if I'm going to be able to run with a group or not. Right now, on my LRs I'm doing r3/w2 and my plan calls for me to to r4/w1 on race day, but I'm not sure yet if that's what will actually happen or not. Really hard to predict my actual pace at this point.

My LR this morning was 10 miles in just about 2 hours. The last few miles were *much* slower than the first few, and so it's hard to extrapolate.

Hi Everyone,

Okay - I'm going to take an easy on the Half Marathon and haven't really set a goal time in finishing it, for the Marathon I'd like to finish in 4:45 - 5:00 hours.

Looks like we have a good group of us in the 5:00 hour time :goodvibes, although it includes all of the speedies.....I wonder if 5 is attainable for me :teeth:
