Walt's Puzzle Dessert

no, they stopped doing them last March. :sad2:

DID THEY REPLACE IT WITH ANYTHING ELSE? oops caps sorry

I was just about to ask about the puzzle...

My DD1 would have loved one of those...

Nevermind... She may have the Cinderella shoe instead...:cheer2:

The children's desserts at Walt's are nothing special, my DD had plain vanilla ice cream. One of the options is Apple Puree!

My DD also was looking forward to the painter dessert, they stopped doing them the week we arrived. Though she did manage to get one a WDW.

Thanks everyone. My son loves puzzles and it would have been so cool for him to have/do. Oh, well....

My kids had them at the Blue Lagoon, don't know if they also stopped doing them there when they introduced the new healthy options. I believe it was called the Chefs Surprise in there.:)

No they're not available there either.

DD was also v disappointed last Easter as shed seen the photos of them and then they stopped doing them just before we went - she wasnt impressed with the option of apple puree instead:rotfl:

Thats a shame that they have stopped doing them :sad2:
Here is my daughter last March devouring one :rotfl2:

I think that is an appalling dessert choice to offer , mine would eat an apple or a fresh fruit salad with no problem, but they stopped eating pureed food a long time ago.:sad2:

I totally agree with you Jill.:thumbsup2

I was very happy to see that DLP were more into heathly eating .I found it impossible to get fresh fruit in the resort, went to the nearby ESSO station.

But come on DLP our kids are there on holidays and need a magical dessert after dinner. When we went to Walts back in January 07 the boys had a puzzle each and they loved it.

In fact just asked them what their favourite thing to eat in DLP was and they both answered ...the puzzle painting thing.

It may be unhealthy compared to apple puree but it certainly made memories

To be honest, don't think people go to DLP because of the 'healthy' food...:rotfl:

I bet if you looked at the apple puree it would be very high in sugars anyway - it is a ridiculous option!!!!

I am all for healthy - but my kids would not eat puree.

As it is it take all our powers to get kids to eat healthily and even sit through a meal when eating out so I can only think the puzzle was a good thing - it held their attention and was not so unhealthy. A choice would be good ;)

They have gone away from the healthy only option slightly. When we went to Walts at Christmas the childrens menu had changed slightly and one option was a bowl of melted chocolate with fruit to dip in. (The apple puree was still on offer as well tho in case anyones interested)

Apple puree ~ yuck  the only time my DDs ever ate apple puree was when they were babies and doing the transition to solid food. I think they would have been totally dismayed if they were given this for dessert in a restaurant.

I think it must be quite a common desert in France - when we were at Explorers we saw small tubs of it for breakfast with the yoghurts etc- I got a tub to try to see what all the fuss was about and can confirm it was YUCK.

WE also saw it for sale in the supermarkets

My sister has just returned from DLRP and stayed in the DLH, her dd had the puzzle dessert from the room service menu. Hope they have it on the HNY menu next week. :goodvibes

Well, this is nice to read since I started this thread. We are taking a 'mommy and me' trip in October and will probably stay at the DLH. Thanks for the info!

Just found this old photo. Taken in The Silver Spur, but they don't do them there now.:sad2:
