Walt's Disney cartoons

I never noticed this till now, but I just realized that most of the disney cartoons Walt produced involved women as being the main character... snow white,sleeping beauty,alice in wonderland,cinderella,lady and the tramp, im sure there are more. I know some have male leads, but it seems most were women.
I hope some day disney will bring back the art that appearently died.
