Resort Thread Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE Resorts

Thanks for this! Question he mentioned amenities discount on the spa. How does this work? I didn't really understand what he meant by "$30 off of spa treatments worth at least $175 each night of your stay ." this only because he is plat member?
I believe this is for anyone who stays as part of the resort fee. The Platinum perks are just at check-in: points, breakfast or welcome basket.

So is it 30$ off flat for the trip or you get more credit if you stay longer.. I can't find any info on this :(
If you spend $175+ on spa services excluding hair and nail services, you get $30 off the total. You can do this everyday of your trip if you want to spend that much daily.

Thanks for the recommendations. how about room service? How reliable are they with delivering the food In the mornings at the desired time?

I never used room service.

I don't know if it's changed but when I was there in Dec. Fresh Med was a sort of hybrid buffet. There is no buffet, you can get your eggs cooked how you want and then there are some items that used to be on the buffet behind a counter into the kitchen with someone there to serve you (sort of old cafeteria style). If I remember correctly, the bread like items (muffins, etc) were also there but you could serve yourself those. You can also order off a menu. I don't remember pancakes, waffle etc. being on the buffet, but I could be wrong since I wasn't really looking for those. Picabu is pretty quick and does have what you mentioned. I've had fast and slow service there. Again, cafeteria type service like most of Disney QS locations used to be. Depending on the time of the morning, Fuel can be pretty crowded with a longish line. In Sept. when I was there with my son and his family, we had to get our breakfast sandwiches and take them out to the lobby to eat, which was fine for us since the baby was in a stroller.

THIS exactly on Fuel! The line really starts to grow about 7-7:15. I would always go down to Fuel as soon as I got up and took my coffee back to my room while I got dressed most days.

The $30 off a spa service is part of the resort fee. The stipulations are:
can't be nail or hair services
must be over $175

I had my March trip show as pending for about 23 hours then dropped off altogether 🤷🏻‍♀️

I made a 1BR suite reservation on Wednesday the 26th (last week), still haven't been charged the deposit which they said was going to be about 1/3rd of the total.

Also, I am Marriott Gold and wife is Marriott Platinum levels....should we expect any upgrades at the Swan Reserve at check in or any freebies (drink, breakfast, etc)?

Upgrades are based on availability - I'm Titanium and stayed 4 times last calendar year at the Dolphin and got upgraded twice. One of the upgrades required a room move the next day (which was worth it for the extra space for me)

The go-to bonus for everyone is points. If you want breakfast you have to ask for it at check in (which I always do)

I'm at the Reserve this weekend and they sent me an email yesterday stating they can't yet confirm my suite night request upgrade so I'm not hopeful I'll get upgraded. I'll report back if I do.

Has anyone had bell services send luggage from the Swan to another Disney resort? We have split stay at Swan then AKL and I’m wondering if I will need to take my luggage to AKL or if it can be sent over. Thanks in advance!
I went Swan-CSR in Sept ok. I’m going to be trying Pop-Swan and Swan-WL in a couple weeks. I will try to remember to report back how it goes.

Would appreciate the update, I am doing Dolphin-CR this summer if the Marriott app/website would stop giving me availability errors.

Do they still use LavAzza in the quick serve places rather than the Starbucks used in the rooms?

Yes! It's still the LavAzza in Fuel. I usually get cold brew though a girlfriend of mine got a latte and thought it was FAB.

I'll be there this next week and will report back - do you guys want photos of Fuel?

That's good coffee. I like the Starbucks but I think the LavAzza is even richer.
If you don't charge us, yes please.
I will confess: I bought a coffee pot on one of my trips and the guy who picks me up at the airport keeps my coffee pot for me....so I can make coffee in my room if I wake up early. I choose the cold brew because it lasts for hours and I can take it with me.

And I wont charge beyond the regular fees 😅

Seriously, I never mind taking photos and sharing things with you guys. I already plan to photograph the gym (and see if the Peloton is still in good shape) so I'll happily take photos of Fuel (and The Fountain)

Has anyone combined breakfast vouchers with AAA discount esp for buffet up charge or at Java? What did you end up ordering? Thanks!!

For those that use the room service, how reliable are they with getting food orders on the selected time to the rooms when setup ahead of time. Wondering if it's worth trying pre-scheduling some breakfast deliveries while we get ready.

Long time lurker, first time poster. I made reservations for Swan at end of March through Costco. Am I able to add my Bonvoy number to gain any points? I know I likely won't get it for the room since I booked with a 3rd party, but can I still get points for money spent while at the resort?
