Resort Thread Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE Resorts

The new Chill location?
Maybe.

Although we have stayed at the Dolphin before and have walked through the Swan, this was our first time staying ay the Swan.

Last time we walked through, there was a small coffee & frozen drinks shop near the rear doors. This place we stopped at was selling dry goods, refrigerated sandwiches, and had a coffee station behind the register. It also was organized so that the line to checkout wrapped around inside the floorspace. It was a bit closer to the lobby than the old station, which was closed each time we walked by.

Unfortunately, I did not take a picture.

Has anyone been to Fresh Med. Market for breakfast post-Covid? It is our favorite place for breakfast. I looked at the menu on the App. and it looks like they still have the sort of breakfast bar. Does anyone know if that is true? I know they aren't open for breakfast on Thurs. and Fri.

I ate there one morning in February. You just tell the chef what you want and they will put in on the plate for you.

I was trying to figure out if I can walk from the Swan to Hollywood Studios WITHOUT crossing the bridge and taking the Boardwalk walking path, but instead heading out the back and walking through the parking lot to what appears to be a path
I asked on the maps thread and was told the answer is NO, but I'm just not sure.

While you can't go out the back you can go out the Front of the Swan and toward the left side where the resort bus area is and find the path that takes you to the bridge on East Buena Vista.

You will be walking over the bridge directly next to traffic and then need to circle left to go under the bridge and join the Disney walking path.

It is simpler to just go out the side doors at the Swan near the boat launch area and walk toward the BW. As soon as you cross that walking bridge you turn right and will see the walkway along the canal to HS.

Looking over the S/D App I see that Picabu is now open again. Limited hours to Weekends Sat & Sun 7AM-11AM and Fri & Sat night 5PM-Midnight.

Surprisingly The Fountain was open today. Hope they continue to stay open outside of the weekend.
According to the S/D app they are closed Monday & Tuesday, Open 4-11 Wed/Thur & Noon-11PM Fri-Sun. Were they not following that schedule?

Has there been any problems with the pools being at capacity? Have they resorted to having a check in list like some of the Disney resorts?

Not a firm answer for you, but stayed at BWV on March 24-26. No problems at all going to the pool. I walked through the pool areas at Swan & Dolphin to check on the construction on March 26, and no one was checking anyone in, and the pool wasn't very crowded. That was only around 10:00 AM though.

I've got a deluxe resort view king balcony room booked at The Swan and would like to try and get a good view, are there any resources to see floor plans or is there a list of rooms that are known to have good views so I can make a request?

Has anyone tried to reserve a pool chat recently? I looked at the link and none are showing available. I also checked as far out as May and also none available. Are they no longer renting chairs?

Unless I’m mistaken they were just open on the weekends. Glad they are opening more and Picabu too. We found food options to be a bit lacking at S/D. Definitely don’t wait until parks close to decide where to eat. Eat earlier or have a plan.

On one of our nights IL Mulino closed mobile ordering (suddenly and without notice) because they became overwhelmed, Fuel had a line that wrapped around and came out to the door, Kimonos was closed, Picabu closed, Fountain closed, etc...we ate crackers and cheese in our room and a piece of fruit for dinner. Other options included ordering from Boardwalk but pizza window did not have openings, etc. We gave up, snacked and waited until morning. Hope it gets easier soon but have a plan.

We stayed at the Swan last week. Mid-afternoon on a hot day, the Grotto pool was crowded but there still was the odd set of deck chairs available here and there.

But construction surrounded the pool and was loud. You might want to have a look at the photos I posted earlier on this thread:

I'm confused. ¿Do you have to reserve and pay for using Pool Chairs?
