Resort Thread Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE Resorts

How do ppl prefer to get to the swan w/o magical express? I will have a 2 yr old so need a service with a car seat. Any suggestions?
We have used Happy Limos the past several trips. They have excellent service and will make a grocery stop. When we are celebrating we get the stretch limo which is only about $50 more than a town car and allows the boys to watch a movie during the drive.
We got a stretch limo today with Happy Limo. $158 each way with the Mousesavers round trip discount. The girls really enjoyed it!

Finishing up our Swan stay tomorrow morning. It's our first time here and really enjoyed it. Big pro was the proximity to Epcot and DHS which we spend our most time in. Staff have been fantastic. We are Marriott Plat, so opted for the free breakfast, which we've used to get sandwiches from Java, and received a room upgrade to a room with a balcony, which has been nice to sit out in while enjoying breakfast and coffee. We were informed that hosuekeeping would not be daily at the moment and that we would get it on our fourth day, but we didn't. Not a big deal - also might have been skipped because we had a "Do Not Disturb" sign on our door when the housekeeping staff seemed to be going around. We requested more tea via text and more towels via the app and they arrived within 30 mins or so. There was also an option to request housekeeping via the app, so I'm sure they would have provided if we requested, but we decided to skip since we were only here for one more night.

We booked pretty last minute, so we booked via Marriott Escapes, which is a discount Marriott runs via their website from Wed - Sun, with dates available up to the next month or so. We were looking for a refundable rate just in case, and this was the cheapest rate that was refundable up to a day before. Hoping to return here when we're next in WDW!

I forgot to mention that I also received a room upgrade at the Dolphin for being a Marriott Platinum member. I used the free breakfast vouchers towards the breakfast at Fresh Mediterranean Market for an additional $10. What was interesting though was this room. It was located at the end of the hall on the 7th floor and was classified as a "1 King Bed, Resort View, Balcony, Deluxe Guest Room". I had one balcony with a sliding glass door and then this other balcony! It was nice a surprise. Although the sound of the fountain was very noticeable since it didn't really seal.

We had a similar room on the 8th floor (Dolphin) overlooking the fountain! Great room and view.

Anyone know if any of the junior suites/alcove rooms in the swan or dolphin have tubs vs just walk-in showers?

Did you receive a discounted breakfast for every morning you were there? If so, could you save them up and bundle to pay for an entire breakfast at the onsite restaurant of your choosing, or did daily voucher expire each day if you didn't use it? I'll be staying there as a Platinum member for the first time, so this perk in new to me - thank you so much!

I did a receive a voucher for breakfast each morning I was there. At the Fresh Mediterranean Market the voucher was only good for pastries, fruit, toast, and oatmeal. However, they have the hot breakfast that you can put the voucher towards for an extra $10. I didn't ask if you could combine two days vouchers for the full breakfast, but I don't think you could.

Tony is unbelievable. We have used him several times and also for a transfer from WDW to UO. Does a grocery stop also if needed.

We’ll be staying at the Swan June1-11. Trying to figure out what restaurants are open at Swan and Dolphin??

Thank you - much appreciated!

Yesterday I finally booked our Dolphin stay for our rescheduled trip from last summer! Very, very excited to get to take my son on his graduation trip - even if it is after his first year of college😂. I booked a deluxe alcove with connecting double so that the kids can have their own space. When I got the confirmation, there was a message that I hadn’t seen before:

You have opted to upgrade your room beyond your original accommodations. The automated confirmation you have received does not include the details regarding your upgrade. Please use the below confirmation as reference your reservation details.

Has anyone gotten this before? Not sure what it means, since I didn’t have “original accommodations” and didn’t upgrade anything. I just booked the room I wanted!

It happens from time to time.

You can use the reference number on the Marriott site to look up your updated reservation details. Here is a link were you can check. Or from the Marriott site you can chose the "My Trips" in the top banner. You don't need to sign up or log in just provide the information on the left panel and press the "Find" button.

Thank you. Now I am really confused though because what it says in our confirmation email and what this website says are different....Email says “Deluxe Alcove room with a king bed connected to a resort view with doubles.” The website says “Deluxe Alcove King, Junior Suite, 1 King, Sofa bed, Limited view.” It does list this as Room 1, but I don’t see a Room 2...

The price is the same in both places. Sounds like I need to call back and make sure it’s right?

I would agree that you want to double check. Call the Swan & Dolphin directly at 888-828-8850 or 407-934-4000 and chat with in-house reservations.

This configuration is often confusing to guests and the reservation agents. That's why I would suggest you call the local in-house reservation team to confirm. Since tomorrow is Sunday your call may roll over to central reservations.

I believe I heard a while back no more Disney buses? How is the bus service now? Any other changes recently?

thanks
