Resort Thread Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE Resorts

Anyone know the pool hours for the Swan during the pandemic? We stayed at POP in July and it closed everyday at 9p.
With parks closing early, we are hoping the Swan pool stays open later. We are hoping to get a reservation for early Oct.
Thank you

What is the approx amount of time to walk from studios - skyliner area- to Swan? Is it easy to find your way along the path?

Just booked our first stay at the Swan for June 11-21, 2021! I couldn't believe how good the price is for the location! We booked a resort view king room and requested a higher floor. We stayed at YC in July 2019 (with the summer discount) and just fell in love with the Epcot resort area. Well, rack rate over there is going for more than double what we just paid for the place next door. Really hoping it works out - I don't feel like anything is a guarantee anymore. But still, excited!

We just booked a last minute trip to Disney for 9/21-9/26. Crowds are low, airfare is cheap and I'm furloughed until October.... so why not! We are staying at the swan. We have previously stayed at the Dolphin twice and loved it. Booked a Costco package deal. So excited!

Easy to find the path if you are unsure ask a staff member, but you will probably see a stream of people walking that way.

thank you very much. We have to be at Fantasia at 10:15 so the street of people will prob be going the opposite way towards studios. Just making sure we get in line early for skyliner and have time to walk over to it.

I wasn’t sure if we cut across next to Buena vista or had to walk further down to cross the water. Your map verified the way I hoped we would be able to go.

I believe pools are open 24 hours. At least the lap pool by the Swan was recently.

I was also told that the pools are 24 hours but that after certain hours there are no life guards?

IIRC, the trail on that side of the canal actually starts in the Swan parking lot. Walk past the bus stop and the sidewalk will turn in to the parking lot at the lot entrance, then follow the path down to the water.

I do find it easier to actually leave the back of the swan and cross over to the Boardwalk side of the canal and then walk towards the studios. Saves you from going up and over the overpass and back down.

@SarahC97 in the past the lifeguards were there from 9AM-9PM, but I'm not sure what the current situation is.
I don’t know if this was a one-off situation or not, but when I was there in November there were no lifeguards on duty at all. There was one staff member who told the kids when they could go down the slide, but she wasn’t a lifeguard.

Thinking about a last-minute trip to WDW?

Priceline Express has the Swan available next week for a nightly rate in the mid 90s, + resort fee and taxes. With a coupon code, it”s even less.

Edit: That compares to AP rate of $111 + fee and taxes for the same period.

Does anyone know if the kids eat free only applies to guests staying at the Swan? If not which restaurants participate in this.

Any Swan experts have any advice on staying over Marathon Weekend? I'm currently booked at Pop and running the HM, but I saw that the Swan is available again. It's $70/night more than Pop after all fees with my corporate discount, but even though the location seems great for walking distance to parks, I'm wondering if any of the MW noise would wake me up in the mornings. Thanks!
