Resort View Guest Room

Treat yourself to a better perspective from the comfort of a Resort Room. Courtyard View Rooms overlook the resort’s interior garden and sitting area and also provide partial views of the resort’s beautiful landscape. Disney Resort View Rooms also offer views of the natural wooded landscape, plus partial views of the Boardwalk Resort area or the Hollywood Studios Tower of Terror. Crescent Lake View Rooms are distinguished by their breathtaking vistas of Walt Disney World’s iconic water feature.

A palette of silver, blue, and white is accented by bold splashes of color to create a serene, sophisticated atmosphere, complete with washed maple wood furniture, chrome fixtures, and pearl grey walls. Vibrant blue carpeting, embellished accent pillows, and an abstract painting tastefully contrast neutral tones to create a modern feel.

In-room technology includes High Speed Internet Access and plenty of electrical outlets. Turn on the 42-inch flat screen TV to watch a movie or to plan your next day, with updates and suggestions from the interactive Resort Information System. Enjoy the convenience of a mini-refrigerator and our 24-hour room service.

Then sink into the luxurious Heavenly® Bed, an oasis of high thread-count sheets, down cushioning, and our patented pillow-top mattress that will help you leave feeling better than when you arrived. A room with a king-size bed also features a sleeper sofa.

In the sleek updated bathroom, a contemporary bathtub or a glass-enclosed shower is adjacent to a backlit mirror mounted on a backsplash of iridescent glass tiles. The Heavenly® Bath, with an exclusive overhead rain experience and the handheld Heavenly® Shower, enhances morning rituals and offers a welcome respite after a long day.

Thanks @Dan Murphy :) so if I get a resort room and request for an east wing room I might see Epcot? :) thanks again! This thread has been helpful!!

I would call the Swan directly and ask. Don't call the Starwood reservation number. They may have an option "in house" available which may guarantee you a specific view for extra dollars/Starpoints. I would also specifically put "Epcot view" on my request.

For the heck of it I did call the Swan and Dolphin directly and Epcot view is a request only. No options to upgrade to a fireworks view at the Swan. I was able to put in a request to have a balcony for my Executive Suite, so it wasn't a total loss...

I do agree with Chuck, best is to call S/D directly. If looking for a 'view', also ask for higher floors.

I took the plunge and switched to Swan for Dec 3-6! Thanks for all your help.

Does anyone know if they sell magic bands at the resort? I really would like to buy them before we enter a park :)

Yes, in both Disney gift stores within the Swan and Dolphin. You can also pick them up at the Screen Door on the Boardwalk or the other gift stores within Boardwalk, Beach/Yacht Club.

Thank you so much! :)

Tried to find this elsewhere, but is there a Starbucks at Swan/Dolphin? If not, anyone know the nearest? I have gift cards I'm hoping to use for morning coffee

No Starbucks for purchase at S/D. The rooms are all Starbucks. Closet locations would be either Epcot at the Fountain View or Hollywood Studios at the Trolley Car Cafe.

I found dolphin ones but there does not seem to be that particular choice for swan... Hoping someone else could help. :) was going to stay still at AKL but DH says he prefers the proximity of swan to the parks... So trying to decide between traditional vs resort rooms in swan

Yes, you can book Epcot view at the Dolphin, for an additional cost, of course! I book this every time that I stay there. Warning! These rooms have a long convoluted walk through interior corridors.

No, the option is not available at the Swan to book Epcot view rooms. I have tried to get this at the Swan to no avail. I believe that the rooms exist, but there are very few of them. We were on the fourth floor in a perfect room angle to see the fireworks, but the room was too low so the bridge was in the way, blocking the view. It was a very nice room though!

Thanks for the info! I looked into dolphin but they only had double beds available, no king so I stuck with swan. I just requested to a high floor on the east wing with view of Boardwalk if possible. Is that right?? (Of course this all depends on whether or not they grant my request, lol)

Just wanted to pop back in and report. We arrived after midnight on Friday of Labor Day weekend so unsurprisingly the Dolphin was unable to accommodate my request for a renovated room. We were assigned 2049 which is in the East Wing with a nice view of the Swan:

(iPhone pic, not great quality but you get the gist).

While it had not been renovated, our room looked like it had been well taken care of (the paint looked fresh and the bathroom fixtures were shiny and new-looking). The air conditioning worked too well - if that's even possible in Florida - and we enjoyed the Heavenly Beds as always. The room did have a moldy smell and for some reason housekeeping never replaced our ice bucket liner even though she would clean the ice bucket and one day we only got one bottle of water rather than 2. No big issues at all.

I liked the location of the room and we also received a nice gesture from the resort since I had noted a birthday celebration.

Balloons, a birthday card, a birthday button, and a coupon for a free ice cream cone at the Fountain. The coupon did not have restrictions on it and we were able to use it for a waffle cone but your mileage may vary.

It was a great stay! I can't wait for all the rooms to be renovated.
