I just noticed it in the fine print today that they can do that. It is amazing. In December we saw people using the swan boats and I thought to myself, "there's some people making sure to get every dime of their resort fee."...lol

We did the boats once and didn't even make it halfway across the pond before we realized it was a mistake and headed back to the dock They are a WORKOUT!!!

I figured out in college when we did the swan boats at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial reflecting pool. Definitely a workout!

Heads up but I’m seeing 10% cash back offers for Westin and Sheraton on my Chase Sapphire Preferred, I actually have one for each brand on mine. 2/15 expiry. Going to book my Labor Day weekend trip, looked at Dolphin but Swan is actually cheaper for my dates. $314 with QWH. $359 for a balcony, which is about what Dolphin wanted for a regular room. Are Swan’s rooms still being refurbed?

@kylenne this refurb has been so strange with a lack of official announcements, just based on pics and comments here, some other sites I'd say most all of the Traditional Rooms have been done or nearly done, they could have paused during the holidays. I think they next up will be the rest of the rooms, but that's just my guess. You might shoot them a text via the app to see if there will be room construction at the Swan or not, but doubt they will give more details then that and I don't think they will guarantee a refurbished room.

This one just popped up for me too and now I’m considering SR. gf might be joining me for that weekend and maybe it’ll be best way to avoid possible construction and guarantee a newer room vs the Swan.

It’s difficult to get a true answer. When they first started the process, we ran across the manager of the hotel. Even he didn’t seem to understand the schedule. Or at least he wasn’t willing to share it with us. We experienced quite a lot of noise from the refurbishment that trip and we asked him about it and he seemed not to know much.

Do prices seem kinda high for that time of year to you? They caught me as a bit high but I don’t usually book this early..

Those are about right this far out. As normal prices may drop or even go up based on occupancy around Labor Day.

I had to call regarding a room request and just spoke to someone “Val” directly at Swan, she stated all room updates have been complete at both Swan and Dolphin. I will ask again when I’m physically there to confirm, but that’s what I was told via phone.

I don’t know? She said that all room updates have been complete. I asked her twice just to confirm and she said yes this was someone directly at hotel, not through Marriott. I will ask again in person to confirm.

Nah I’m with Dave, that’s about normal this far out. It usually goes down as you get closer but I like to book refundable rates to lock in a room and just do the rebooking game when I see it drop.
