I thought I had read awhile back that there was a souvenir dvd out there of at least Magic Kingdom if not more of the parks. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Actually if you have quick enough internet service, you can watch the new disney video online.

They do have DVD's - a general WDW one, one for each park, and also a Holidays one. I bought the general one and the Holidays one and must say I'M VERY disappointed. Not worth the $20 AT ALL. I guess for kids, they'd like it. . . but it was so corny, a good portion of the footage you can tell is old stock footage. Just not up to the standards I was expecting.

I couldn't even finish either of them. They'll sit and collect dust now. I almost bought ALL of them - I'm SO glad I didn't.

Thanks for the replies. I would be buying them for my children to watch. My 3 year old loves the Disneyland Sing-Along. I just thought I'd get her something new for the upcoming trip.

She'd probably enjoy them then. They have the characters "visiting" each of the area to go along with what the narrator says.

You know what it reminds me of? I missed the beginning of the Christmas parade this year, so I'm not sure if they did it - but remember when they used to have at the beginning of the parades the characters doing a little "scene" - usually walking out of their houses in Toontown and have a whole little, "the parade's starting! we better go!" sort of scenario acted out? That's how these whole DVDs are.

I think the Disney Video's / DVD's are great for younger children. We bought one for our DS before our first trip when he was 3 1/2. We would watch it all the time. It really helped him understand what we would be doing, seeing, etc. What rides there would be, what attractions he might want to see, and which might be too scary for him. For instance, there was a segment about Fantasmic. He didn't like it and didn't want to see the show. We watched the segment over and over and over. Finally, when we were at WDW, he decided he could see the show IF we sat at the very back of the amphitheater. Now he loves Fantasmic and begs me take him to it.

Get the video and share it with your kids, it'll help when you are there...

I have the Magic Kingdome one. When I was there in November there wasn't an Epcot one. Do they have one now? I would be interested in that! The Magic Kingdom one is okay but has some age. Quite corny. They really need to do a new one.

That is a good idea. Of course, that idea backfired on my older DD. She was terrified to do Dinosaur because of the planning video. She did end up going, and she loved it. All was good. I just need to find a cheap place to buy it now. I'm not paying $36.
