Walt Disney World has begun testing their MyMagic+ system with Annual Passholders this week. Passholders who are selected for the test are given instructions to add their Annual Pass ID number to the My Disney Experience app or website; they can then begin making FastPass+ reservations and order customized MagicBands. After receiving the MagicBands in the mail, they have a certain amount of time to visit the parks with their MagicBands to complete the process.

Like the rest of the guests, Passholders can make up to three FastPass+ selections in one park per day. The difference for Passholders is that they are only allowed to hold a maximum of seven days worth of FastPass+ reservations at any given time during a 60-day rolling window, unless staying in a Disney hotel. When you use one of the days, another day of eligibility is opened up.

Passholders will still need to bring their Passholder card and ID with them if they want to take advantage of any discounts, such as dining or merchandise.

For the AP holders out there....

LOL, I've had this ability with my AP for several months. (Even across 2 AP's)

It's new for local AP holders who have not had a resort stay since implementation began. I'm an AP holder and had a resort stay which gave me the MB, but those living nearby who haven't stayed on site were out of luck until now.

Thank you for the clarification! :thumbsup2

I had started to type up all of the fun Denise & I have had, but I realized I was running out of power on my tablet, my typing finger is sore, and I hadn't even gotten past the first day of our trip.

I copied it into a Word document, which I will finish on the trip home. We still have 3 days to go on the trip, so I'm sure to have more to add! This will be useful, since Disney Research asked if we could "Give them our opinions on the new MyMagicBand Experience".

Quick summary - it is nothing new or groundbreaking. Same as the old RFID key cards that Disney has had for years, kinda-sorta integrated with a website / app that looks like it was "designed"(?) & built by the runners-up to the Affordable Health Care Act company, in my opinion.

Except now you have 10x the number of people squinting into their cellphones & walking into / over things, just so they can figure out where they should be!
