Hi all:thumbsup2

We are visiting San Francisco in August and want to visit the Walt Disney Family museum on a Monday (we would plan to be there for the 10am opening).

I was about to book online today, but then I found out that DVC members get a $3 per ticket discount by showing their DVC member card at the ticket office.

Are we safe to wait until the day to buy tickets, or is it not worth the risk?

Many thanks for any advice:thumbsup2

I wouldn't worry about it on a Monday. Maybe a weekend with a special exhibition, but even then they're not that busy.

Was just there on Friday. I did purchase ahead. I don't think you need pre purchase. I did just because I didn't want to get stuck with a certain time for entry as we were on a bit of a tight schedule. Loved it. The attendant told us after the fact that if you park in the lot a cross from the entrance it is less expensive than right out front on the street. Wasn't really expensive on the street. Enjoy we loved it.

On occasion on Travelzoo.com if you check they have specials for the museum. So I would keep checking on it. You may never know.

I've always just purchased the day of, and never had a problem. They stagger the guests entering the museum when it gets crowded, so it never feels packed. And the "waiting area" outside the museum holds all of Walt's trophies and medals, and you can easily spend 20 minutes and lose track of time. :)
