To my knowledge - you can still make all those things without trans fats. Just because they take the trans fats out, however, doesn't mean it'll be less fattening. Trans fats are the only fats that are proven to cause heart disease - so yes this is a good thing IMO. I don't know how they'll cook the deep fried things though - french fries, chicken nuggets, etc. Because the oil is cooked at such high temperatures, it is oxidized which results in the formation of trans fats. The only oil that is not damaged at high temperatures is coconut oil. So maybe they'll use coconut oil...
