walmart online returns??

We need to return a few things that my MIL bought through walmart online, only available online. We don't want the items and would like to return them, but we don't want the money to go back to her card. We have the receipt from online - can we get cash for those items?

She also bought my dd a porcelain tea set that is only available online and its broken. Can you return to a store and get another one shipped out or do you have to return it through the mail? (its sold out online, too)

I can't seem to find the answers to these questions online anywhere so I was hoping the budget boarders would know!

I "think" you can make all returns to the store;however, they insisted that I put my purchases back on my card. They refused to give me my own cash!!! Ugh!! But it was ok with me! Hope they make it easy for you!!

This is from the walmart website. I order alot and have items shipped to my US friends and they never had an issue with returns as long as they had the easy return receipt, that i had to provide them with. They were not able to get cash, but were able to exchange the items for other items. Below is what is on the website"

I don't think any retailer will give cash back unless you have the receipt AND cash was the original form of payment.

Returns always provide a refund in the form of original payment to prevent fraud.

You "might" be able to get store credit, but cash is doubtful.

It's true that WalMart will take your return with your receipt/shipping paperwork, and it will be reimbursed back to the form of payment used (CC) Many items online are not available in stores and will not ring up so the paperwork will give the info needed to do the return. If the item is something that the store carries regularly, you may be able to get refunded in cash or gift card without any receipt, Using your ID (DL) and you can do this a few times a year it will be tracked. (Stores discretion, policy is only to go back on CC)
I have worked for WalMart for 16 years and love Site to Store, I saw a few mistakes through the holidays with the online items, but I think for the amount that go through, it's a great way to buy.

I am pretty sure you can get a gift card not cash though. My Walmart is really strict with returns.

I ordered a laptop from Walmart.com and had a lot of problems with it. We took it back to our local Walmart this morning, and they were great about taking it back, but they insisted on putting it back on the card even though I would have rather had a store credit. I was just happy they didn't give me a hard time about it. I bought it on Black Fri and didn't try to use it until Christmas (it was for my daughter). We ordered a new one from Walmart.com when we got home as they didn't have any left in the store. I hope you have better luck getting a GC, I'm pretty sure they won't give you cash.

YES! I recently returned a few item that are not sold in stores and they refunded me cash.

I sent my hubby in with the easy return receipt, he asked for cash, and they refunded him with cash! Yay!
