Here's a link to a gmaps pedometer of the route:
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=88663
There is an entry with a marked crosswalk, right next to the bus stop. It goes through a gap in the hedge. It puts you on the second traffic island over. You can walk up around the other side of the circle.
I'll tell you a couple of differences from the marked route, there, though: We stayed in building one, so we jaywalked across Manchester right there at the side of building one, rather than walk down to the light and wait for the walk signal to cross Manchester first, then the signal to cross Harbor. I know, we shouldn't jaywalk,

but there was hardly ever any traffic and it seemed quite safe.
More jaywalking badness: Once we got into the tram area, the security tables that were open were those way over to the left. So rather than walk the long way around the circle, we jaywalked across the two lanes of tram dropoff driveway, and joined the throngs of other people who crossed Harbor at the main crosswalk by BWPPI. Again, it was pretty easy because it wasn't that busy. There was only one day when we saw any of the northernmost security tents open. Otherwise it was the southernmost ones.
HTH!
