Walking from SOG to Poly

Hi, I have PS at O'Hana, and will be going there possibly from SOG. I heard that this is within "walking distance". I was wondering, is there an actual walking trail between the two resorts, or would one have to walk on the road? Also, about how many minutes would you estimate that it would take to get from one to the other? We will actually be going from Downtown Disney, to O'Hana's, but I'm trying to figure out if it would be worth trying to find a parking space at the Poly or better if we just go back to our hotel and walk. I would say it's about a 10-12 minute walk. There is a long driveway with sidewalk on Shades property. You cross one
two-lane road with crosswalk, to get to Poly property. Then you wind through the paths at Poly to get to Great Ceremonial House. You don't have to walk on the road, but do have to cross one road. It's a pleasant walk, but may seem longer when returning to SOG later in the evening after touring the parks all day. Hope this helps.

The walk from SoG to the Poly is not too bad. There is a sidewalk, but you do have to cross a pretty wide street to get to the Poly. The street wasn't too busy when we made the walk, but if you have small children you may need to be extra careful.

I would estimate that the walk took about 10-15 minutes. It was a pleasant walk, the grounds are very well kept, and it was fun looking at the scenery.

It's about a 10 minute walk. When we stayed at SOG's previous incarnation, the Disney Inn, we walked to the Polynesian whenever we wanted to ride the monorail.
