That's about a 30-45 minute walk. If the hotel offers a free shuttle to area destinations, you may not have to walk.

But if you're going to walk, proceed west on Palm Parkway from the hotel to the traffic light at State Road 535. Turn left and walk south to the next traffic light which is at the Crossroads Shopping Center and Hotel Plaza Blvd. Cross over 535 and walk west on Hotel Plaza Blvd past all the hotels until you arrive at DTD. Very easy and even you won't get lost.

and can I add - its a really pleasant walk - flat and plenty of shade - and this is from someone that normally only walks 15 yards from the car to the door!!! Except when at disney on course and then I don't stop!!!

This will be our first trip to Florida without a car - we are staying on site at POFQ and can catch the boat to DTD - so I'm intrigued to hear that there may be a shopping centre that we can reach on foot!

Any info gratefully received!!

crossroads has a supermarket some small shops and resturants.for a good shoping experiance take a taxi from DTD to primium outlets around $15.

Lovelylins as Paul says the Premium Outlets are your best bet,I would add another 15-20 mins from the Crossroads if you are up for walking,then taxi back to DTD.Unfortunately there isn't a shorter route because they are the other side of I4.Crossroads is ok as a look about whilst going for something to eat but not really up to scratch as a shopping trip!

So can you walk from DD to premium outlets?

You can walk from the crossroads to the premium outlets but it takes longer than 15 -20 minutes. We did it by accident actually, we were exploring past the shops and we just kept walking. I think it took us about 1.5 hours from the Hilton and that was with some stopping on the way so I guess it is about 30-40 minutes past the crossroads. Ok in nice weather. The taxi's are really cheap so the walk is probably not really necessary.
